I downloaded Lair of the shadow Broker, but never played it, because Fallout: New Vegas came out and took me away, followed by a few other games. At least one more DLC is coming out, so I'll probably just play it then, close to Mass Effect 3's glorious release.

I'm thinking of downloading Lair of The Shadow Broker, is it any good? Yeah. Pretty short (takes a couple of hours to finish), but still good. Also, when you beat it you get access to some cool stuff. As I mentioned a couple of days ago, I bought Saints Row 1 again... and I have to say that even though it's still playable enough, the past four years really haven't been very kind to it and it's not worth going back to the first one after playing Saints Row 2. Hell, SR1 doesn't even have ninjas dancing to Hall & Oates (see avatar - I'm now thoroughly convinced that Saints Row 2 is the best sandbox game ever), and that alone makes it at least ten times worse than the sequel! The lack of checkpoints during missions is also extremely annoying, especially because some of those missions are really f***ing long and hard and the main character can't take all that many bullets compared to SR2. I guess he didn't have all those cybernetic augmentations and other improvements that the Lazarus Project gave him during those years on the operating table... wait, wrong series. And I swear, if my copy of Deadly Premonition doesn't arrive by Friday I'll... be slightly annoyed. If you haven't yet, the side missions are a God-send. They unlock ways for your character to heal, be immune to falling (which is probably the most helpful "power up" in the entire sandbox-genre), and other HUGE boosters. Then again, my evil hispanic Sarah Palin lusts for blood, and half the fun I had with Motley, TL Wolf, and others was what horrible abominations of mankind we could commit. ...still trying to talk Madaba into getting the DLC. I also got ME2 recently (as those who have me as a friend may have noticed, when I'm not prepping for this upcoming semester or dealing with other things, I'm pretty much playing sunrise to sundown). I'm sorry I got hooked on this game too late...

Yeah, Saints Row 2 has all kinds of cool unlockable stuff (my guy on the PC version now has 3x health regeneration, infinite ammo for all weapons except the shotgun, no fall damage, infinite sprint, reduced bullet damage, etc), but I was talking about replaying Saints Row 1 for the first time in years and why it's not as good as SR2. You can unlock some helpful things like infinite sprint and various weapons with infinite ammo in SR1 as well, but the missions are still going to be annoying.

Such as Rabid Fan Baseball and Pants-less Skydiving. I'm more of a "pantsless hooker skeet shoot guy" myself I was a "naked monster truck driving over people" man really. Dude I just got a flashback to when we were doing an escort mission and whats-his-name showed up behind us repeatedly so we kept going out of our way to kill him. God that was fun.

And on my first play of Ghostbusters, it crashes not too long after playing.

Is the Saints Row 2 DLC any good at all? I know those packs have some new customization stuff and other crap, but are they really worth getting? I hear some of the missions on Ultor Exposed and Corporate Warfare are really hard, which means that I should probably do some more activities on the 360 version of SR2 if I end up getting the DLC. When I played it the other night to see if your face on the billboards glitches out in the same disturbing way it does on the PC (it doesn't), I noticed that I had barely done any of the side missions and didn't have too many of those helpful bonuses as a result.

I have Corporate Warfare... The chopper mission is too damn hard. It can be beaten once you memorize the attack paterns of the AI... that is if your helicopter doesn't flip over first.

Oh, great, more helicopters. I just love it when sandbox games put you in missions with helicopters, those things always handle like absolute crap. I already found the last mission of the main game annoying as hell, it wasn't even that hard but I'd always find some kind of a way to f*** it up.
One of my attempts on the PC version ended with me actually managing to blow myself up with a missile. ;D (I didn't remember you just had to basically fly into the Philips Building to start the cutscene, so I thought something might happen if I try to break the windows. Didn't take into account the obvious fact that those heat-seeking missiles would lock onto the nearest source of heat...)

I hated the DLC for Saints Row 2, mostly cause it was short as hell. It's like 2-3 missions and that's it. I felt ripped off.
Also, I hated the chopper mission too. I only did it when I co-oped with someone here. Can't remember who, though.

1 achievement left to go in Bayonetta, and unfortunately it's Infinite Climax mode, which means no witch time and harder enemies.

Ok, now I HAVE to buy the Dead Space 2 special edition.
Why? Because I didn't know it came with a life size replica of the Plasma Cutter in the game, and it actually lights up like the gun in the game.

For two reasons: 1) In case of a Necromorph outbreak. Never know when that might happen. 2) It would make making a Dead Space cosplay outfit that much easier for me.

I can't wait for it to come out.
The two flavors of the controller are priced at $50 for the Tournament Edition and $40 for the standard edition. I'm totally getting the Tournament Edition.

If anyone with an old model 360 is looking for a cheap HD... www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=X16-38655-01-BP&cat=GAM are cleaning out their stock at $65 a pop. Tiger Direct/Circuit City did theirs for a similar price and went out of stock rather quickly. Sadly the deal ended before I could get there let alone share, but a German site was handing out free Banshee prop codes. Luckily, I still managed to snag one. Oh, and I really need to pick up the Saints Row 2 DLC when I get the cash for a points card. I only did solo, but I think my favorite thing was just jacking all the weird vehicles (Construction stuff, golf carts, airport bag carts) and then driving around my college apartment. Dressed in STD frat gear. Then cruising down to the liquor store with a full crew, getting free 40's and drunkenly beating up streakers until the cops came.

From the sound of things around here, the Saints Row 2 DLC isn't worth it.

I guess it breaks down to:
If you want more nifty cars, a few more custom items, and a handful more missions, plus the ability to play with those of us 'Crappers that do have it, go for it.
If this doesn't interest you, save your Gates Bucks.
