Loved Monsters vs. Aliens. While a bit too pop culturey, I loved that it was a sendup of classic B-movies. Also, President Colbert FTW.
Up is also one of my top 3 favorite Pixar flicks.

1. Avatar (749.8M) - very pretty, but pedestrian plot. 2. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (402.1M) - Terrible. We should feel ashamed for this being so high 3. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (302M) - It was great, but could have been an hour longer to accomodate cut material. 4. The Twilight Saga: New Moon (296.6M) - didn't see it 5. Up (293M) - This packed more emotion into 5 minutes than most movies do in their entirety. Great film 6. The Hangover (277.3M) - didn't see it 7. Star Trek (257.7M) - My favorite movie of the year. It was as fun as a Star Trek reboot could have possibly been. 8. The Blind Side (255.9) - didn't see it 9. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (219.6M) - didn't see it 10. Sherlock Holmes (209M) - Fun movie, but forgetable. Moriarity in the sequel should be fun 11. Monsters vs. Aliens (198.4M) - Okayish. Not as good as Pixar, or most Dreamcast efforts really 12. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (196.6M) - didn't see it 13. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (179.9M) - I enjoyed it, in between cursing at stupid decisions 14. Night at the Museum: Battle for the Smithsonian (177.2M) - Harmless enough. Only a few offensively stupid jokes (Brunden) 15. 2012 (166.2M) - BWAHAHAHAHAHA MUTANT NEUTRINOS?! 16. The Proposal (162.9M) - Didn't see it 17. Fast & Furious (155.2M) - Didn't see it 18. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (150.2M) - Fun popcorn movie. Better than Transformers 2. Still not terribly great though 19. Paul Blart: Mall Cop (146.3M) - This got a lot of undeserved flack. Not bad for a kids movie. 20. Taken (145M) - AWESOME. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.

1. Avatar (749.8M) - Proof that if you dangle a pretty enough piece of string in front of people they'll eat it up regardless of how good it actually is. 2. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (402.1M) - f*** you Michael Bay. 3. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (302M) - Didn't see, I'm trying to read the books first. 4. The Twilight Saga: New Moon (296.6M) - f*** you women with overly raging hormones. 5. Up (293M) - It's second only to The Incredibles in terms of Pixar perfection. 6. The Hangover (277.3M) - Loved this movie, in a story I'm writing one of the short stories for it is a tribute to this movie. 7. Star Trek (257.7M) - Hellz yeah! Perhaps the only JJ Abrams thing I've liked thus far. 8. The Blind Side (255.9) - Oh look everyone is a racist... how convenient.... 9. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (219.6M) - Jason Lee only shows up at the beginning and end, he was lucky. 10. Sherlock Holmes (209M) - Really enjoyed this movie, the fistfight scene was proof of bullet time done right in a movie. 11. Monsters vs. Aliens (198.4M) - Loved this, if they had a rifftrax on the DVD as an extra they would've made perfection. 12. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (196.6M) - Aren't they making ANOTHER one of these? 13. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (179.9M) - Hated this, but interested in the next movie since it's being produced by the same guy who did The Wrestler. 14. Night at the Museum: Battle for the Smithsonian (177.2M) - ...no. 15. 2012 (166.2M) - Can this guy's directing career PLEASE be over now? 16. The Proposal (162.9M) - Come on Ryan Reynolds, you're above this shit. 17. Fast & Furious (155.2M) - Didn't see, but if it shows up on free tv and nothing else is on I'd watch it. 18. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (150.2M) - Dumbass popcorn flick in a good way. 19. Paul Blart: Mall Cop (146.3M) - I've been boycotting all Kevin James things for years now, I plan on keeping this up. 20. Taken (145M) - Liam Neeson is a lot like the Wu-Tang Clan... he ain't nothing to f*** wit.

I've seen Avatar, Up, G.I. Joe, Transformers 2, and Hangover. My thoughts on each:
- Transformers 2: It blew. Look, even Michael Bay conceded to that fact. - Avatar: Overrated. It's alright, but not the "Best movie ever". - Up: Loved this film. Touching & heartwarming. - G.I. Joe: Decent movie, at the very least, better than Transformers 2. - Hangover: f***ing hilarious movie.

K, once again I'll keep my comments brief because I've seen most of these flicks
1. Avatar (749.8M)- Looked fantastic in 3D, but plot is weak, and pacing is horrible. Definitely not the end all, be all people treated it like
2. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (402.1M)- I really enjoyed the first movie, but this one was a steaming pile of s***. Just a terrible, bloated, dumb piece of "cinema"
3. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (302M)- Good, but not as good as the last couple, or the next one. Really felt they dropped the ball on the end, as it came across flat whereas it was an amazing scene int he book
4. The Twilight Saga: New Moon (296.6M)- My GF has made me watch this movie about a dozen times. It never gets any better, what a piece of crap.
5. Up (293M)- Quite possibly the best Pixar film to date. And that says something. I cried a few times
6. The Hangover (277.3M)- Insanely funny, has held up well. One of my fav. comedies from the past few years, if not #1
7. Star Trek (257.7M)- Did something they've been trying to do for 40 years: made Star Trek cool. And that's coming from a lifelong Trek fan
8. The Blind Side (255.9)- Good, but Bullock got way too much praise. Pretty pedestrian feel good sports flick in my opinion
9. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (219.6M)- didn't see
10. Sherlock Holmes (209M)- Different take on Holmes, but really enjoyable
11. Monsters vs. Aliens (198.4M)- Fun movie, but nothing special. Great voice acting tho
12. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (196.6M)- Didn't see
13. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (179.9M)- Ugh, NEXT
14. Night at the Museum: Battle for the Smithsonian (177.2M)- Didn't see
15. 2012 (166.2M)- Didn't see
16. The Proposal (162.9M)- Didn't see
17. Fast & Furious (155.2M)- Didn't see
18. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (150.2M)- Hated this worse the Transformers 2
19. Paul Blart: Mall Cop (146.3M)- Didn't see much, didn't like what I saw
20. Taken (145M)- Liam Neeson being badass for 2 hours. What's not to love? This is what a 24 movie should be like

1. Avatar (749.8M) - I thought it was alright. I didn't dislike it, but I've never felt a desire to see it again, either. 2. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (402.1M) - Absolutely loved it. Easily one of my favorite movies, though I'm not sure if I liked it as much as the first one. 3. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (302M) - I liked this one about as much as I liked the other HP movies; good enough to watch if it's on TV and I'm bored, but nothing I'm really all that impressed or enamored with. 4. The Twilight Saga: New Moon (296.6M) - Haven't seen it. 5. Up (293M) - Saw bits of it on TV, but wasn't interested enough to see the whole thing. 6. The Hangover (277.3M) - Loved this one, too. 7. Star Trek (257.7M) - I liked this more than I like most Star Trek movies, and will definitely see a sequel, but I didn't find it to be particularly memorable. 8. The Blind Side (255.9) - Haven't seen it. 9. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (219.6M) - Haven't seen it. 10. Sherlock Holmes (209M) - I thought it was okay. 11. Monsters vs. Aliens (198.4M) - Haven't seen it. 12. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (196.6M) - Haven't seen it. 13. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (179.9M) - I really enjoyed this movie, even though I normally am not a Wolverine fan. 14. Night at the Museum: Battle for the Smithsonian (177.2M) - Haven't seen it. 15. 2012 (166.2M) - It was okay; I watched it because I was bored, and I probably won't do so again. 16. The Proposal (162.9M) - Haven't seen it. 17. Fast & Furious (155.2M) - I haven't seen this yet, but I want to. 18. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (150.2M) - I loved this movie, too, and I can't wait for a sequel. 19. Paul Blart: Mall Cop (146.3M) - Haven't seen it. 20. Taken (145M) - Haven't seen it, but I'll watch it when I see it's on TV.

I should probably give mine since I started the thread!
1. Avatar (749.8M) Liked it, but didn't love it. 2. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (402.1M) Not AS bad as a lot of people like to make it out to be.....but still seems like it was made by a 12 year old with ADHD. 3. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (302M) Not bad, but my least favorite of the series. 4. The Twilight Saga: New Moon (296.6M) I will never understand how the f*** this junk became a phenomenon. 5. Up (293M) The best movie of 2009. 6. The Hangover (277.3M) Very, very funny but like most comedies it has very little rewatch value. 7. Star Trek (257.7M) Absolutely loved it, and I've never been a Trek fan. 8. The Blind Side (255.9) Haven't seen it. 9. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (219.6M) Haven't seen it but it looks terrible. 10. Sherlock Holmes (209M) Not bad, Downey and Law were excellent. 11. Monsters vs. Aliens (198.4M) Haven't seen it 12. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (196.6M) Haven't seen it, but didn't care for the previous Ice Ages. 13. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (179.9M) I generally dislike prequels and this was no exception. 14. Night at the Museum: Battle for the Smithsonian (177.2M) Haven't seen it 15. 2012 (166.2M) Haven't seen it. Doesn't look very interesting. 16. The Proposal (162.9M) Haven't seen it. 17. Fast & Furious (155.2M) Haven't seen it. 18. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (150.2M) If it wasn't for Dennis Quaid this would have been a total waste of time. As it is, it was just a partial waste of time. 19. Paul Blart: Mall Cop (146.3M) Actually found it quite amusing, even though it's "Die Hard" for kids. 20. Taken (145M) Great, great movie. Liam Neeson is the f***ing man, and this was the best action film of 2009.

Saw AVATAR. Thought it was a decent timewaster, but nowhere near a masterpiece or anything. Have no desire to see it again.
STAR TREK was pretty fun.
MONSTERS VS. ALIENS I picked up on DVD. It was hilarious. I dig 50s sci-fi, and I dig a lot of the voice cast (Paul Rudd, Stephen Colbert, Seth Rogen), so this was right up my alley.
X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE was dumb. Ryan Reynolds was alright, though.

Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince - Really liked it. Up - Second favorite movie ever behind The Lion King. The Hangover - Hated it. The Blind Side - Good but nothing special. Monsters Vs. Aliens - Liked it. Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs - Liked it but it was my least favorite of the franchise X-Men Origins: Wolverine - It was okay. I'm in no hurry to see it again though. 2012 - Like Mr. Emoticon before me,it was on and I was bored. I didn't think it was horrible but probably wouldn't watch it again.

Once again enjoyed all of those.

Avatar: I agree with the opinion that if you take away the special effects, you're just left with a run of the mill sci-fi flick. And to be honest I didn't find the effects to be all that breathtaking to begin with. Maybe it would have been better had I seen it in 3-D
Paul Blart: Mall Cop: It was okay for what it was, but the plot was a little too contrived for a comedy.
Star Trek: It broke the "Odd numbered Trek movie = suck" rule.
Monsters vs Aliens: Loved all the B-movie references especially Kiefer Sutherland as the bat guano insane army general.
Up: You know a movie is emotionally pitch perfect when it can nearly bring you to tears at the beginning and the end.

6. The Hangover (277.3M) 7. Star Trek (257.7M) 10. Sherlock Holmes (209M)
I really liked Hangover and Sherlock Holmes. Star Trek was ok, but I never watched any Star Trek tv shows so that might have something to do with it.

1. Avatar (749.8M) - Would be perfect as a screen saver, but nothing special as a movie.
5. Up (293M) - Fantastic movie, one of the best of the year.
7. Star Trek (257.7M) - Fun summer flick. I haven't watched the original series much, but it was enjoyable.
8. The Blind Side (255.9) - It was a really good movie, although it did feel a tad contrived at parts.
10. Sherlock Holmes (209M) - Robert Downy Jr. is awesome and I loved this movie.
19. Paul Blart: Mall Cop (146.3M) - It was bad, yeah. Not the worst movie ever, but there wasn't really anything positive.
