Really?! Well hello Earl. *hehe* In my country Earl is a boy's name!
I just started watching this show on Netflix, it's really starting to pick up on the funny after the first few episodes.
Earl: I started to make you a magical fairy, but I ended up with ah… a magical clump. (holds up paper mache clump). Natalie: Thanks. It’s a very nice clump. I’ll name him Alexander. Alexander the clump. Earl: Or Pepe. How bout Pepe the clump? Natalie: I don’t get it. Why Pepe? Earl: Oh Pepe’s a name. I think its Mexican. *ponders* Earl: Yeah, it's Mexican.

I really need to get back to that show. I watched the first two seasons on DVD then just kind of stopped.

I still don't get why that show was ever cancelled in the first place.

That show was insanely good. Its such a shame that it was cancelled as soon as it was. I should've easily gone for two or three more seasons.

I gotta admit, I love My Name is Earl, although the third season was... really weird. Isn't it basically treated as non-canon by the show itself during the 4th season?

The first two seasons were excellent. The third season... not so much. The cliffhanger ending of the series is what made me hesitate to watch it, but I had already heard so many good things about it, I had to give in and give it a chance. And I'm glad I did. I would stop watching the series around the time Billy is introduced, just to be safe

I loved this show.
The people behind it now have a new show on called Rasing Hope which is equally awesome. Raising Hope also uses a lot of the My Name is Earl cast as guest stars.

I didn't mind the third season, but I'll admit I haven't really been rewatching them much. But yeah, it's cancellation was stupid. It was one of the best and freshest shows on TV, in my opinion. I even have the Crab-Man t-shirt. It's cancellation was one of the major reason (behind Conan) that put me off all things NBC outside of SNL. I broke it for The Cape and due to the Comcast buyout and well... "I can’t remember with chickens are you supposed to play dead or punch 'em in the nose?"

Randy was my favorite character of the show.
I loved it when they finally showed us Darnell's history

Only seen the first series, but I love what ive watched. My favourite episode is one of the early ones where Earl tries to get Randy to score atouchdown x

I still don't get why that show was ever cancelled in the first place. Because of the way it was shot it was highly expensive for a comedy.

The show was good, but I wasn't a big fan of Earl getting put into prison or the fact anyone who was a scientologist and knew Jason Lee ended up in the show.

Well, it was filmed more like a movie than a standard sitcom, so, perhaps that had something to do with it. also, I think things started to go sour for NBC once Jay Leno stepped down. (He subsequently came back, but that's a whole nother can of worms)

The Motel, The Trailer, The Crabshack, then almost always a list related house, another list related place and some outside shots. A lot of shows rely on around half the set changes. And even successful sitcoms would use some cost-effecient stuff like green screens for when characters were driving, etc. My Name Is Earl definitely didn't.

Earl: I gotta step outside and get some air. Randy: *narrating* I knew Earl was lying because I was pretty sure there was air in here too.
That's the line I'll use if someone asks me what the show is like. If they laugh, I recommend it.. if they don't, the humor probably isn't for them.

I liked the subtle "Big Lebowski" reference in the "No Heads and a Duffle Bag" episode.
