I have 13. 7 are people I added for Facebook games, and 1 is a guy I commission custom action figures from. Only 5 are people I consider to be actual friends, and that's plenty as far as I'm concerned.

I have close to 300. I know them all. Granted, I knew some for the 10 week period a class at my school goes, but I still knew them. It's fun to see what people are up to, isn't that the point?

I have barely under 100 and 90% of those are either family or family friends that I add and promptly hide from my feed. For actual friends (or acquaintances outside of family), I have about ~20-30 and that's more than enough for me.

Oh....you silly folks and your Facebooks. When are you fine dinosaurs going to jump into the now and get a Friendster? Pffft those of us with Facebooks get to see random pictures of Buggy all the time I have 160 friends. This consists of people I knew in high school, current friends, and some California indy wrestlers.

I have around 160. My one requirement for adding someone is that I must have spoken to them in real life at some point.

I like the ones who have up in the hundreds of friends and are still picky on who they add or won't add I know people who have 500 or so friends and won't add certain people who won't benefit them...

I've got 389. About half of them are people I went to high school with (went to an all boys high school so we're a tight knit group). There's also about 10-11 people I have from work, and the rest are Crappers and other people I've met along the way.
I have a couple of people who have about 2200+ friends, but they're like club promoters and stuff so whatever. It's networking. I don't think you could ever have too many "friends" The more eyes, the better.

I'm stuck in the low 60s (people I knew in high school, people from here, or people I've otherwise somehow met), and don't plan at ever going higher than the 100-110 range.

I've got 388. Most are family, friends, and really close co-workers, or people I'm close to from posting on various forums with them; some are just for game purposes, and some are wrestlers and anime VAs. I'll friend anyone as long as they can tell me where I know them from (I'm kinda old and have a great many senior moments).

I have just less than 400. I know most of them and some are pages for local bars, bands, etc.

I have around 210. They're all people I personally know and met. I see nothing wrong with having hundreds of friends if you personally met the people you add and know them.

I've got 118 but I know most everybody on my list. Granted, a good 50% of them are people that I don't talk to anymore but I know them from school or a previous job or something. I basically accept add requests only from people that I know, and only send requests to people that I know and am on good terms with. But to be fair, a few months ago I un-friended about 20 people that I had accepted requests from shortly after opening my account.

I have 3 criteria for adding someone to my Facebook.
1. People I recall from high school or people from my graduating class regardless of whether or not I recall them.
2. Regulars from a chat room I've frequented these past 10 years. Obviously people I don't like from that room are not added however.
3. Family members, real life friends, and/or people from work.
