When I stopped at Dunkin' Donuts for coffee earlier today they had a sign up advertising Frozen Hot Chocolate. Frozen.....Hot.......Chocolate?!?!? I am thoroughly confused by that.

On one of the last days of my senior year of high school (longer ago than I care to admit at the moment) some friends and I left and started riding aimlessly around. We stopped in at a local Dairy Queen and they were advertising the same thing.
I actually asked the guy how that was possible, but he didn't know or seem to care.

The coffee bar in the lobby of the office building where I work sells it, I'll probably try it eventually just for the hell of it.

I think they realize that "frozen chocolate milk" sounds more like a 5 year old's idea than something all that appealing, but "frozen cocoa" might just make it sound like regular chocolate ice cream.

It's pretty good. Hot chocolate definitely has a different taste than chocolate milk, and not only because hot chocolate only uses water instead of milk. Even the dry powders are fairly different tasting.

It is super good. They mix the cocoa mix in a blender with ice, it is like a cocoa smoothie. It is grand.

Frozen hot chocolate is really tasty. I went through a phase once where I wanted one practically every day.

I need to have one of these... it just sounds so awesome.
Dunkin Donuts, you say? I've never been, but I might have to go in the morning before heading to the office.

It's pretty good. Hot chocolate definitely has a different taste than chocolate milk, and not only because hot chocolate only uses water instead of milk. Even the dry powders are fairly different tasting. Generally, hot chocolate has evaporated milk in it. Cocoa powder, sugar, and water would be pretty rank.

Yeah, it's supposedly really good. I've been meaning to try, but when I go to DD, it's for a cup of pick-me-up, not something heavy that'll make me even more sluggish.

McDonald's offers them too, our Iced Chocolate.
I'm obligated to mention I've NEVER seen someone order one.

Originated at Serendipity 3, a really nice restaurant on Manhattan's Upper East Side. I walked past there on the way to the subway today, jealous country folk.
