Amazing Spider-Man 332 - 331 (his second return storyline) ASM 315 - 317 ASM 345 - 347 (#347 in particular, an awesome climax thru and thru)

Venom: Deathtrap The Vault is probably his shining moment outside of the aforementioned early Spidey appearances.
It's a stand-alone story. Venom and a ton of villains vs. the Avengers and Freedom Force. Good stuff.

The current series is pretty rad. And has a cool tie in to overall Spidey Mythos.

Sinister Spider-Man from Dark Reign. If you like comic stories that are a little bit on the funnier side, this one should work for you. The art's a little iffy in the beginning, but it evens out over the four issues.
