After the tragedy that befell the Dashing one's face, the only thing to do, really the only sane move, would be to encase himself in armor complete with a green cape.
It just makes sense.

And you've got Drew McIntyre who could be Reed Richards, Kelly Kelly as Sue, and just add in 2 more guys and you've got WWE Fantastic Four. It works.

Actually, since he is supposed to have "reconstructive surgery", I think they should bring up someone from FCW who is supposed to be Cody post surgery. Eventually, this star wins a title match or the IC title, when the "real" Cody returns and takes out the "new" Cody.

I just hope this means doesn't lose all the mannerisms of the "Dashing" gimmick, for example still have him still check himself out in the digital mirror but recoil in horror.
I don't want him to be SRS CAW-dy Rhodes again. He's comes too far just to fall back to that.

Oh come on. Pretty boy... injured face... needs to protect it... is there really any doubt who his next gimmick should be based on?

I think it would be a great psychological device to have a masked designed that resembles 'The Phantom of the Opera' underneath his mask and put that on a good looking wrestler, much like a Cody Rhodes type, before the fans are ever introduced to the new character.
That way when the mask is finally removed, all the horrible feelings and disgust towards the character immediately switches to some kind of curious interest and maybe affection.
It's always been the other way around, where a 'monster' was masked to hide their hideousness from the world, and once they finally had the mask removed it had to be played up how heinous they looked and often it was the case.

Except in that Batman: The Animated Series episode, where it was a former model who wore a mask because she thought was old and hideous, when she was really beautiful.

Ok...... What about the complete opposite of the "Scarred Monster" Someone that wears the mask to protect the world from thier face.....a face that's so flawlessly perfect that no one can bear to harm them or stand against them in any way. {Spoiler}Yes.....I'm actually pitching a Wrestling Gimmick based on "Tee Hee Tummy Tums"

Well, maybe we'll get lucky. After all, that was probably the most over the top promo Cody's ever done. When he started screaming, it reminded me of old school Mankind promos. The scream definitely sounded like Mankind, had a very crazed tone to it. I would love for him to delve deeper into the psychosis only for it to be revealed that he had a minor scratch but it kept growing. Could even have a diva take him to therapy and try and help him. Could make an interesting mid card program.

Haven't seen Smackdown in a few weeks, minus the Corre debut. Was his nose really broken or just an storyline?

That promo was awesome. He managed to convey a ton of emotion while turned away from the camera, not using his face at all - that takes talent.
Cody is amazing.
