In all honesty, more than anyone - besides possibly Triple H - I am opposed to seeing CM Punk win it. It'd be a total waste since this new Nexus is terrible, and in all honesty I just don't think Punk belongs in the main event of Mania.
Cena winning would not be much better unless Miz still had the title heading into Mania. I'm cool with Cena / Miz but again, Cena / Punk headlining is a terrible idea.
I also don't want del Rio. The guy really doesn't impress me at all.

Anyone other than Cena or Mysterio is fine with me.
Mysterio because he's small, and past his prime, and should have never been a main eventer to begin with.
And Cena because he's already at the top of the ladder. The man could probably weasel his way into a championship main event at Mania without a Rumbe win.

If Orton beats Miz then Cena, and I'm not usually a Cena-hater. Still, just the thought of those two headlining Wrestlemania is already making me yawn.

the OP is extremely biased. When is it ever gonna be Punk's time to main event a Mania?
I don't get the halfsupport/half hate he always gets
people want Barrett to end the streak and guys like Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel to go over everyone on the roster
but they don't want an underrated and extremely over heel to ever main event the WWE's biggest show
again, I guess it's just a difference of opinion between us two

I don't think there's a "right time" for Punk to main event WrestleMania. Far as I'm concerned he's a poor fit for it, and I am a big fan of the guy.
Granted, I also think he's the worst World champion of all time.

HHH. If there's anyone besides Cena who DOESN'T need a Rumble win, it's Hunter.
That being said, I can see him returning at #40 and winning it all.

Truth be told I'd really like to see an original Rumble winner this year. Whether that means Punk, Morrison, Del Rio, Barrett, or even a long shot like Jericho I'd be cool with it.

There's no one, currently, that really fits the bill as a huge WrestleMania main event spot filler, anymore (IMO) so in this era of not having that, it wouldn't hurt to have Punk v. Cena or Barrett or someone else since they've put all the effort into his character like they have since the feuds with Hardy, Mysterio, and Taker and the recent one with Cena but if you feel he has gotten his ass handed to him to many times to be a serious contender, then I understand, i guess |

ADR I don't think should win, I think it would be overpushing him a bit at this stage.

Anybody who's won it before. I like this answer. Personally, I would go with anyone who has held one of the two world titles before as someone I don't want to see win. A bit of freshness if you will. |

I pick ADR besides the more or less established trio of Cena, Rey, and HHH.
I think Del Rio has been doing his job well, but every damn show for over a month he's been coming out letting us know of this whole Destiny angle.
I think he needs his first really big loss, have him lose it at the rumble by being eliminated by like Baretta or someone. Don't start a feud just have him appalled at getting ousted by a "nobody".

It's mainly due to how much time went into it and how it played out. Khali had one fairly short reign where he was booked as mostly murdering people like a guy his size should. His ring work wasn't the best, but I don't think he was all that bad a champion. CM Punk, though, has had what I personally count as four reigns (I count the ECW title), and every one of them lasted for at least a couple of months and saw nothing but him getting his ass kicked every week. His second run was the worst, where there was a period for about a month and a half where he didn't win a single match. |
