Just watching some of the older Rumbles and noticed that apart from entries 1 and 2, no-one got any entrance music, and even without it for the rest of the match, the guys entering still got some nice pops. '92 especially was a hot crowd.
I don't remember what year every Rumble entry had their theme play them to the ring, but for those who watched the older Rumbles, what do you prefer? Entering with or without their entrance theme?

For the record, 1996 was the first that had themes for every entrant.
I prefer to have the music play, but both have their advantages. Hearing only the crowd pop for an entrant in the early Rumbles is awesome, but there have been some absolutely priceless reactions to entrance music (think Austin's reaction to Bret Hart's music in 1997).

I think the Rumble works better with entrance themes. Especially when somebody huge is coming out or making a return, a slight delay before the cue of the theme just enhances the pop because the crowd is silent waiting to see who it is.

I much prefer it with music myself. It adds a lot to the experience, especially when it's some big surprise - picture Cena's 2008 return without music.

I prefer the music. I mean how hard is it to believe the WWE stations a guy at the gorilla position as the random entrants walk up to enter at their spot.

Yeah defo with the music, adds to the 'big time' feel of the event.
Watching the old rumbles something feels lacking when the guys come out. Especially when it's someone like Taker and he just walks out there with no fanfare.
