We all know that one of the big names thrown around for an opponent for Sting if he should wrestle at Mania at all was the Undertaker. That shouldn't happen at Mania though since Taker has a built in angle with Barrett and even though Sting vs Taker would probably main event the show, we don't need Sting losing his one match in WWE if it ended up being his only one.
I was thinking that Edge would be a better matchup for the Stinger if he were to come in for the show. They might be able to put on a good match considering Edge is a hell of a lot more mobile than Taker. I'm sure a lot of people would complain if Sting won the World Heavyweight Championship from Edge, but it could work. Have the Stinger come in and just flat out blow off the Miz. Not because he disrespects the WWE Title or Miz, but because Edge has something that he wants. He won't forgive Vince for what he did to WCW and he wants to give the promotion one last hurrah at Mania. He wants Edge, and he wants the belt that truly should be called the WCW Heavyweight Title.
I'd settle for him being in the Hall of Fame, but I'm not sure it'd even happen now unless he and Shawn Michaels were co-headlining the HOF ceremony.
Thoughts?

There are so many people I would put before Edge to fight Sting (Triple H , maybe bring HBK out of Retirement for that match , heck I would put Cena before Edge.)

I dunno, as much as I'd like to see Sting come in, him vs Cena or Triple H doesn't sound as fun...but that's just me. Especially if Edge busts out some promo gold, channeling his old awesomeness days and mocking Sting's surfer gimmick to get under his skin...I'm there.
To tell the truth, there's only three other guys I can think of that would make intriguing Mania matchups for the Stinger.
1) Undertaker: "Can Sting end the Deadman's streak?"
2) CM Punk: Sting helped fight off the nWo menace, why not the Nexus menace?
3) The Rock: Sting is the one fantasy matchup that Rock wanted bad. Make the call Vince...Dwayne...you...Sting...WrestleMania...

I'd watch it.
Then again one of my dream matches are Crow-era Sting'd vs a younger, healthier Undertaker.

Although I want to see Sting/Taker. I'd love to see Sting get a W at Mania, which we know he wont if he faces Taker. Sting/Edge could be awesome.

I think Sting vs. The Miz makes the most sense.
Announce Sting for the HOF...Miz says he doesn't respect Sting or the WCW Legacy and go from there.

Yes. I don't need to see Cena no sell anyone else's offense.

Yes. I don't need to see Cena no sell anyone else's offense. This. Cenas matches just dont interest me. Outside of HBK at WM 23 and London, RVD at ONS, and Barrett at Hell In A Cell, I struggle to watch Cena.

The part I'd love to see is after Taker/Barrett (which it's being rumored is going to be the Mania main event), Corre jumps Taker and Sting makes the save. Sign of respect from Sting and Taker to one another to end the show.
To tell the truth, I wish that Sting comes in for more than one match...maybe a farewell tour starting at Mania and concluding at Survivor Series. He could get a win over Taker at SummerSlam and return the favor at Survivor Series. I'd almost wish Taker would join him at SS in hanging up the boots if it's the case since the dead man deserves it. You know he'll do it after a Mania though.

Sting v. HBK would be incredible..but that would never happen. Of all the current talent on the roster, Edge would probably produce the best match.

That would would be cool. Sting would need to face someone that can bump around for him and with both HBK and Jericho gone, I think Edge would probably be the best bet.

I have to say, I don't see how Sting could be a draw at WrestleMania or in the WWE anymore. It's been nearly a decade since he was relevant, most casual fans have probably forgotten about him, the newer, younger fans never having even heard of him. Sting vs. whoever at WrestleMania? I just can't see it being interesting to anybody but to the handful of old-timers who watched during the Monday Night Wars and still watch today, and we'd probably watch anyways.

I'm not really sure if you're serious, but I disagree if you are. I think on nostalgia alone, Sting would sell out Wrestlemania. People who aren't fans anymore would buy that ticket.
