I gotta go w/ the Million Dollar Corporation myself. Ted DiBiase always said "Everyone has a price". And went and bought off a bunch of jobbers and has beens. The sole member that wasn't a total joke was Sid... but he also had an evil Santa in his group for a short time.

No La Familia? No Straight Edge Society? No Union? I considered the Union... but they were at least funny w/ Mick Foley leading them, La Familia basically existed to help Edge win titles (which he did) and the SES was at least entertaining. Hence the "other option" though, for dissenting opinions. Although now I'm cranky I forgot JBL's "Cabinet". Some useless dudes there.

La Familia RUNS away with this.
If you thought The Cabinet was a piss-poor attempt to build a "Four Horseman" style stable around Smackdown's central heel in the way they built Raw around Evolution or DX around Shawn (and later Hunter as well) back in the day, well buddy, the 2008 Smackdown booking team was ready to PROVE YOU WRONG!
NOT ONLY did they have the least effective tag team going (Hawkins and Ryder, who's gimmick was essentially that they worshipped Edge, and who somehow wound up tag champions) under thier employ, they also had lifelong lower-midcarder Chavo Guerrero as a prominent member, actually putting him over CM Punk and giving him the ECW title to establish him as a threat...before feeding him to Kane at Wrestlemania in about 6 seconds.
But let us not forget the greatest bodyguard in the HISTORY of the WWE....The "Human Fence", BAM NEELY.
Now, storyline-wise, the stable made sense, and there weren't any random additions to the lineup, which was good. However, look at the lineup in question. Hawkins, Ryder, Chavo, and BAM FREAKIN' NEELY comprised a central core of the show, and were supposed to be threatening to...someone, I suppose. They got beaten up by everyone from the Undertaker to Batista to HHH to Edge himself until they just disbanded. BAD.

we've had a few horrible stables in the last 6 years (The Cabinet, La Familia, SES), but also some pathetic ones during the Attitude Era (Boricuas, DOA, X-Factor, boring DX rehashes in 1999 and 2000) hard to choose, I'll go with OTHER as in Truth Commission, which you seem to forgot, SHAME ON YOU

I came to vote the Truth Commission as well. They went from a crappy stable to just Jackyl and Kurrgan in record time.

I came to vote the Truth Commission as well. They went from a crappy stable to just Jackyl and Kurrgan in record time. and Recon & Sniper formed the (supposedly) face team "Armageddon" around Wrestlemania XIV (where they appeared in the jobber, I mean tag-team battle royal) which had like 1 or 2 appearances on Shotgun and buh-bye they did the right thing with Kurrgan though, pairing him with the Oddities, making a comedy act out of him

Honestly, I don't think SmackDown has seen a decent stable since Brock Lesnar's Survivor Series team in 2003.
La Familia & The Cabinet were rather poor stables. When Chavo Guerrero & Orlando Jordan are your 'second-in-command' guys, you kinda know that your group sucks. I will put the Basham Brothers over Hawkins & Ryder for identical tag-team, because the Bashams were operating with a-then moderately functional tag-team division.
The Straight-Edge Society had promise, but that was squashed quickly by the combined forces of Big Show & Rey Mysterio. Of course, CM Punk got a big ol' reset button in the form of him leading the New Nexus.
But damn, X-Factor gets my vote for the worst. "AIYYO, YOU DEALING WITH THE X-FACTOR (Whiny music)" It was X-Pac multiplied by three and Justin Credible was gone only about six weeks after the group debuted.

What about the new Team angle?
Over on Raw HHH had Batista and Orton. On Smackdown Angle had...erm Mark Jindrack and Luthor Reigns!

My first thought when I clicked this topic was X-Factor. I'm glad to see that they are included!

With some of these stables mentioned, you know the stable is bad when all the focus is centered around the leader. Examples are SES, The Cabinet, La Familia, Legacy, etc. When all focus is on the leader, the others are nothing more than just lackeys.
The Cabinet wasn't a bad one, though nobody cared about OJ, even his US title reign was seen as an afterthought.
By the way, I voted for X-Factor, more because of that theme song. *Shudder* I have no problem with Waltman, Justin Credible, or Albert, but they could have had a better theme song, plus you know how bad a stable is when the stable is mostly on Heat.

Los Boricuas. Savio had no heat at all by this point, Miguel was known for being hairy-very, very hairy-and I'll give a gold star to whoever can even name the other 2 guys.
I did love their music, though.
