I still don't know when that infamous promo from JJ happened, in which he accused Austin of blasphemy by using the 3:16 slogan
it must have happened shortly after starting his "don't piss me off" gimmick, circa September/October 1998, but I've never seen it
Austin SUPPOSEDLY confronted him backstage in a not-so-friendly manner about this, and used his stroke to nix a potential Austin-Jarrett feud that was supposed to happen

I think it was actually his return promo in 1997, where he did a worked shoot on Austin, Michaels, and Ahmed Johnson.

Yeah, it was the night he returned from WCW in October of 1997.
He called Austin 3:16 blasphemous, he shot on Shawn Michaels for picking and choosing when to work and hinting that his injuries weren't always legit.
Supposedly both Austin and Michaels were waiting for him behind the curtain when he came back, and Austin in particular was pissed.

Whenever something pops up about Jarrett, I always remember Mike Graham in the WCW DVD saying:
"Jeff Jarrett smashed 6000 guitars, and never drew a dime."

Although he has no room to talk, he never drew a dime in any major fed, at least not in the US.

While I wholeheartedly agree Jeff Jarrett is by no means a company figurehead, in WWF, he was an upper midcarder at best, so of course fans won't flock to see him(in regards to getting his ass kicked). I personally believe he would make a credible main eventer if he stayed with the company, at least in the short run. Anyway, I really think Jarrett and Austin's backstage animosity could've worked well in a feud. Too bad Austin was bitter about it.

Son of WWE HOF'er Eddie Graham, wrestled in the NWA Florida Championship Wrestling and AWA in the 70-80's, was a road agent and Power Plant trainer in WCW in the 90's.

Watching the shoot I love how he shoots on Debra and later Debra is his valet.

In his shoot, he explained that Vince booked him against
A drug addict = Razor Ramon or Shawn Michaels
A Clown = Doink of Course
A Black Guy who doesn't know a word of the English Language = Ahmed Johnson.

You'd think Steve Lombardi was the be-all end-all judge of talent and history going by those documentaries.

What Jarrett said about him was true.
