www.impactwrestling.com/Content.aspx?ID=35653- Chris Masters, who has been largely relegated to WWE Superstars since his return to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2009, is reportedly scheduled for a push following the Royal Rumble.

wow, after being overpushed when he was stilll very green, to now where he got better but being relegated to a jobber status, is very nice to hear that he will be pushed
That will be a good example of paying your dues actually

I doubt it. I like him and hope it's true. But I don't see him being anything more than being this era's Val Venis.
But then again Val did get a brief repush as cheif morley, so you never know.

I agree. Never thought I'd say that after watching his initial 2005-2007 run, but he has improved so much.

I keep reading about him beating Jack Swagger at house shows, I'm guessing he's been paying his dues for breaking the wellnesss policy, and they need a good babyface powerhouse.

I too am glad to hear this. Masters is really good at selling as well.

I thought when he got on NXT as a pro, it was the start of a push, hell he even beat Rhodes that week on SD, but now he's actually so much better suited at Superstars Era Val Venis, he plays the role so well.

I wonder if HHH will make another crack on him during this push

I'm hoping this is true. Masters has improved tremendously since his last WWE stint in 2005-2007 (where even I liked him, just thought he wasn't ready for the push he was receiving). He should have gotten this push when he returned to the WWE in 2009, or at the very least sometime last year.

He has been actually winning lately, even if it is mostly against nobodies. He's still fairly over and got a great look, so I say go for it. I can get jobbing him out for so long with his two strikes already against him, but this long with no issues I'd say he's clean.
