I ask because my college has a club that hosted a Mania viewing party last year and, as it turns out, it was such a success that they're hosing viewing parties for all the PPVs from the Rumble to Extreme Rules. And it's free.
Anyone still go to these things? Experiences? Stories, impressions?

The last time I did was in High School.
It's always enjoyable to experience something with people who feel the same way about it.
It's just tough to find fellow fans when it comes to Wrestling.

A friend of mine used to host PPV parties, he'd buy the PPV and we'd bring the food. It was a lot of fun.

No kidding. Imagine my surprise when a.) I found out about the semi-permanent part and b.) according to the FB page, a GIRL is coming to this thing.

Not anymore, most of my friends (which are in their mid-20s' to early-30s') are not that interest in wrestling PPV these days (unlike about six - seven years ago). We do, at times, have UFC PPV parties though.

I used to get together with some buddies and watch the shows. It was a good time. Everybody just kind of drifted apart through though.

Well, there's the next question - did the groups break up due to changing interests or because the product quality has "dropped"?

I have a few local friends who get together for most PPVs - we split up the cost of the PPV and either meet up for dinner before or bring food to share. WWEshop is doing a deal if you order Rumble, Chamber and Mania and send them your receipts you can get a $50 gift card. Essentially getting one of the PPVs for free

Product quality, many of our (my small group of friends that still watch) wider circle of friends often laugh when we mention that we still watch wrestling. Wrestling just isn't seen as mainstream "cool" anymore. Many of our friends throw up, usually with a laugh, that the E has a "fake rapper" as their top guy and have banned all blood from their "fights".

We didn't do parties but when I first started watching, each Sunday about four of us would sit down together about a half-hour before the 30 minute preview and be all extra hyped. I miss that so much - especially WrestleManias. The first three-ish years I watched wrestling, we ordered every single PPV that aired. It was so much fun.

We split our funds between PPVs and tickets to the local shows. I pretty much run the club with my friend and we try to get as many events as we can. Thanks to tight cash we have to skip the Chamber though.

I used to buy ppvs and have any of my friends come bum and watch with me but it got to expensive. Now we meet at Buffalo Wild Wings and watch and eat there. We get haggled by other customers sometimes but it's easy to ignore or tell them to shut up.

A few of my friends and I do. On the free PPVs I host at my work (4m HD big screen with surround sound), while the ones that are on Sky Box Office we head to one of their places. Drinking games usually ensue - a shot for every time someone goes over the top rope, for example. I may not survive next Sunday!

I have very few friends who watch pro wrestling, but those of us who do have a WrestleMania party every year at a buddy's place. We order pizzas and pound back some wobblies and have fun.
This year, we decided we'll do a Rumble party, as well, as it seems like a great PPV for a party.
So yeah, we don't do it often, but it's fun when we do.

All the time. We´re like 4-5 guys and 1-2 girls watching every PPV. All of us are 25-35 years old. It´s a lot of fun.

When I was in high school, we had a group of 4-6 guys that would get together each month for the PPV. It was always a lot of fun. We would each chip in, so we only had to pay like 5 bucks each. We did that from probably 2001 through 2004, when we graduated. Then it was pretty hard to do with a few of us farther away. Now, most PPV's I get, it's just me and one of my friends. We are the two remnants from those days I guess ;D, Why not, we both watched wrestling long before any of the others, and we are the two still going. I will say that my favorite thing about those PPV parties would be the Royal Rumble one. Each year, my friend who hosted all the PPV's would take a poster board and write #'s 1 through 30 on it. When we all arrived, we would each draw from numbers 1-30 out of a hat and those would be the entrant numbers we had in the pot. We would put up the PPV fund for the winner. We would keep track of eliminations and score points that way. I remember in 2002 the sheer horror on my friends face when one of his numbers were up and out came Maven. When Maven dropkicked Taker out, I thought he was gonna go through the roof.
