Given the fact that fake family ties are nothing new to wrestling, does anyone think that WWE may try to claim that Mason Ryan is a relative (brother possibly) of Batista seeking retribution for Cena retiring Big Dave?

He doesn't even look that much like him.
Cousin perhaps. But I'd never buy brother.

holy crap the aksana show is awesome. also his accent isn't as deep as some welsh ones. bring back finlay so we can have a finlay, sheamus, mason, mcintyre, barret uk and ireland match.

Well maybe they could do it that their mom gave both up for adoption, Batista to an American family, Mason Ryan to a Welsh family.

He should use Batista's first theme if they did this. It's too bad ass not to use.

I think he should be Paul Bearer's third son because in real life he worked in his family funeral home.

It's simple:
Mason Ryan is the latest host of "The Animal" - a spirit being with a grudge against John Cena.

I was halfway looking at the screen when he came on, and I really thought it was Batista.

Well, of all the storylines we could be re-doing, Hogan/Giant from 1995 WCW is sort of a left-field choice.
But anyway, I'd just have him work on his accent, like Christian Bale, until he's ready to speak. They could've been doing this already. Then when he can hide it well enough he can claim to be Batista's little brother. Oddly enough, I kind of like the storyline of Batista's little brother coming in and going for revenge against Cena. As long as he has a name so that later on he can be storyline separated from Batista and stand on his own merits (prefarably a one-word thing) it'd be a good push right away, and actually give him...gasp...a CHARACTER and a BACKSTORY.

I'd make him like a cousin or nephew to Batista instead of a brother. No, not as much motivation to go after Cena then, but it'd be easier to give him a name to stand on his own.

A back story for a debuting wrestling? Not gonna happen.
Do you think anyone confused him with Jackson Andrews? I mean, they're not identical but they're both big dude in jeans and muscle shirts.

To be honest, he looks like the product of an unholy union between Batista and Steve Blackman.

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought he looked like Batista. For a second I was wondering if it was him, although once the announcers didn't make a big deal about it I knew it wasn't.

That's who I thought it was at first (jeans, muscle shirts, short black hair), until the camera showed a good shot of his face and physique.

I thought it was Jackson Andrews, then Batista, then started squealing "BARRI!"
