Well Truth's promises to send him back where he came from didn't help matters either. All joking aside, I think he meant back to SD!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm pretty sure Del Rio found out who the kid was. Then proceeded to have that kid's orphanage bulldozed and steamrolled to make way for a new garage for all of his fine, luxury, automobiles. Lol that is perfect for Del Rio's gimmick. This is the kind of stuff we need on Smackdown.

I'd be very suprised if that kid wasn't shown the door if the mic picked up what he said.

I honestly took it that way, too, but I can see where there could have been deliberate implications. Still, I doubt they'd go that route, given that if they wanted to do that, they'd have done so by now on Smackdown.

I flipped over and caught the Del Rio match and to quote the most Awesome WWE champion in history, "Really? Really?!" Do we really need racial overtones in everything that involves people that aren't white? {Spoiler}And while we're at it, why is it that when you get someone that has a gimmick considered outside the norm, for example Billy and Chuck, it has to be weird and over the top to the point of alienating the audience? I honestly don't think we've seen a face "gay" wrestler ever presented as a threat. As I straight man I'd like to see a big, tough guy come out, kick asses, get massively over then offhandedly mention in a promo that he was gay. Sorry for that tangent but I HATE when someone who's different from the ideal or the norm is treated as bad. Del Rio vs The Racist Kid at Mania, Submission Match. Was that the same kid who trolled Punk's promo? That kid annoyed the schnitz outta me. Explain? I must have missed that. *Tangent put in spoilers, not really political but it's not subject matter everyone's gonna want to talk about.* *steps on soapbox* This immediately brought up memories for me of John Cena REPEATEDLY making fun of Justin Gabriel for "an alternative lifestyle". This irritates me to no end. 1) he's the top face of the company 2) "an alternative lifestyle" is not a major plot point AT ALL in Gabriel's gimmick...if he has one 3) using that phrase as a sophomoric insult because you're not talented enough to come up with something knew is just...bad. *steps off soapbox*

A Kanye West gimmick? Actually imagining R-Truth getting on stage after Pee-Wee won at the Slammys and say and I quote '"Pee-Wee, I'm really happy for you. I'll let you finish, but William Shatner was one of the best guest hosts of all time! One of the best guest hosts of all time!' or do you mean that he do an interview on tv and state 'John Cena doesn't care about fat people.' Damn R-Truth is more entertaining to me now with that gimmick. If R-Truth did that, he would have gone from the wrestler I'm most apathetic towards to my favorite of all time, ever.

Oh cool your frigging horses. Really? An eyeroll? Emoticon aside- I never said he was the devil or even that that's what he thought as a person and should be fired or whatever for it, but assuming he was TOLD to say that, doesn't it kinda make it worse?

I was just re-watching Raw and that f***ing kid annoyed me to no end during the Punk promo. "No you're not!" "No you didn't!" Shut up you little jerk!
But if he's racist too it gives me a reason to hate a child.

I'm surprised GLADD didn't have a word with Vinnie Mac after the alternate lifestyle gag, I mean they tore him a new one after the Billy and Chuck debarcle.
The Alternate lifestyle gag was just a homophobic insult. Nothing more nothing less in my book.

Well Truth's promises to send him back where he came from didn't help matters either. I like how Mathews tried to clear that up later in the match.

His new gimmick is that he's a Special Agent for Immigration and Customs Enforcement....who raps. OT, but I totally misread the bold part on my first read. You can guess how I misread it.

THE WEIRDEST THING ON RAW:
Del Rio saying "With my RICH MEXICAN HERITAGE..." and then PAUSING FOR HEAT.
What made it weirder is that the audience didn't take the cue to be racist, so they were just like "o rly? rich heritage?"
and he continued his heeling.

I picked up on it, too.
Funny thing, I had never heard the term until Carlos Mencia's horrible comedy introduced me to it. There's a more offensive name used where I live and I won't say it.

Slight tangent regarding the slur "beaner", being the northerner/midwesterner that I am, I'd never even heard of it until my favorite local coffee chain up in Michigan... ...changed their name to "Biggby's" because they hadn't heard of it either until someone apparently kind of tapped them on the shoulder and said "Yeah, about your company name..." That's funny. " er, hey listen, we've done some market research.." Yet Spic and Span cleaner remains, interesting
