It's been obvious for weeks that despite throwing him with the Bellas, they have nothing for the guy. He's the United States champ for pity's sake, and yet they can't even come up with a storyline to actually give the competitors and the belt some notoriety.
*Sigh* The WWE needs some actual creative talent.

They really don't know how to use any other talent correctly except people in the main event scene.

I thought they'd do something with Daniel Bryan and Punk before he got hurt, but I guess not. The RAW writers don't care about their mid card champion.

He's probably gotten a bigger push in his first six months (or so) in WWE than just about anybody in memory.
Yet people complain.

That storyline is the dumbest one I've seen in awhile. At first, it was kinda funny, but then it would just go no where, and now, there's no point to it.
They don't have enough contenders for the belt either. William Regal doesn't wrestle that often. Tyson Kidd kinda got crushed by Mark Henry. The Nexus members are busy doing other things. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out an angle.
Regal vs Bryan, mentor vs the student, they had a good match a few weeks ago where they were very sportsmen like. So, next week, have a rematch, Bryan wins again, and this time as they go to shake hands, Regal turns on him. Next week, we have Regal talk about why he did it, because Regal can cut a good promo, maybe do commentary during another of Daniel Bryan's matches. Maybe not have any physical confrontation the next week. Week after that, Regal wrestles, Daniel Bryan is on commentary. Maybe Regal wins a number one contendership match, like, a fourway maybe as he hasn't had that many wins recently, but if he beats 3 other guys, it could help his standing.
Like, Jerry Jarrett talked about pro wrestling not being rocket science. If you stick to simple, you can go a long way.

It's a sucky situation all around really. Maybe they should consider moving him to Smackdown then? At least there are wrestlers there that are on his level as far as talent is concerned.
But I still want to see that Danielson/Regal feud and I wouldn't mind seeing Punk feud with him for the US title too.

He's probably gotten a bigger push in his first six months (or so) in WWE than just about anybody in memory. Yet people complain. But what is he doing? Nothing. He's the US champ and the closest he's had to a storyline in recent memory is this semi-feud with Ted Dibiase whenever they can be bothered to even give him TV time at all. Santino and the cobra are currently more relevant than the US champion.

He really is going nowhere fast. I wish a midcard existed.

They don't have anything for anyone. They don't have a midcard. The only midcard heel is Ted DiBiase.
The rest are Superstars jobbers (Usos, Kidd, Regal, Ryder, Primo) and Nexus.
Oh and Alex Riley, who hasn't even risen to the rank of "Superstars jobber" yet.

Bryan/Regal or Bryan/Ryder are the two feuds that can go with that would be the most fun right now. Regal would be a student/mentor feud. Ryder would be a polar opposite lifestyles feud. (Hell DiBiase could have gone the "Worked hard for 10 years/Got his daddy to get him straight into the WWE" route if they really wanted to)
I'm fully expecting neither feud to happen and he just randomly loses the belt one day to Otunga as part of Punks glorious [N]ew regime.

I just checked the superstars spoilers. I think they may have something with him after all, but again, I still stand by the fact that this angle with the Bellas is stupid. It's like, the reverse valet effect. Usually, WWE tries to get a guy over by putting a chick with them. This time, they're trying to get chicks over by putting them with someone people react to.

He's in RAW Midcard Hell. Would be different on SD!. Midcard guys do well there, unless your name is Kaval.

You got Truth, Dibiase, Kidd, DH Smith, Bourne (when he comes back), Riley, Otunga, Nexus Wendy, Husky Harris, McGillicutty, Gabriel, Yoshi and Zack Ryder who can become legitimate contenders to the U.S. title. Daniel Bryan should be taking on both faces and heels, welcoming all challengers. They have plenty of guys that they could choose from.

There is no midcard, there is no uppercard. Someone can be hotshotted into the "upper" card by winning one of a couple Money in the Bank matches, a royal rumble or many other ways they just "make" someone a main eventer. They tend to draw a midcarder up to the main event scene on a whim and back down again just as easily. When you have a half dozen guys who've held the World/WWE title a half dozen times each what's it really matter and why should anyone care who wins it if you know somewqhere someday they WILL eventually win it.... If the World/WWE titles are so insignifcant what the hell are the people outside of the World/WWE title picture supposed to be fi=ghting for?

Creative sucks, few of them have ever actually been wrestlers. They are just a bunch of crappy writers who have no real idea how wrestling works.

Exactly. The WWE is just too lazy and they're not intelligent enough to create interesting storylines for the mid-card.
They have some talented individuals there and the US title could propel them to the next level. Why not have Morrison, Ziggler, Del Rio, Truth, Wade, Ryder, Tyson Kidd, Regal, DiBiase, Rhodes, and Christian could be the contenders for the title.
Let the US title be the stepping stone for the World Championship on Smackdown. Start having some intense and realistic feuds. One thing that has always bugged me is how the wrestlers would say "I am the longest reigning US champion", and in the process, they never defended it which made their reign meaningless in my opinion.
Of course you will be a long reigning champion if the belt is never defended. Maybe the WWE should start bringing in some more FCW guys in order to increase the mid-card act.
