I was watching Xplosion yesterday and it is mainly promos and pretty dull matches and silly segments like the spin cycle which to me as a TNA viewer was pretty awkward to watch.
I see they want it to be a bit like their version of Sunday Night Heat but is turning out be like WCW Worldwide

Remember when it was supposed to be added to Spike TV's schedule (before Impact and Reaction) and then it was never mentioned again?

Xplosion is like Superstars, a show that is use as filler with some matches from midcarders, video packages, and whatever else they can put on to kill some time.

Well I would say it keeps Okada employed, but apparently now he has a side job as Samoa Joe's camera man.
It keeps... Kiyoshi employed?

just the scripted comical pieces like the spin cycle seem a bit cringe worthy

I kinda think TNA needs it, if only to give some TV time to some of the roster. It's kinda easy to forget they have a pretty big roster, Impact isn't enough.

Plus I have to add that Xplosion was entertaining as hell when London Brawling formed on it.

I liked it when they had Magnus, RedDaffney and co on it. I stopped watching when it was all Young & Jordan, Ink Inc and Rob Terry - then it got axed in Australia anyway.

Yea, I know very little about the show because Explosion never gets shown here. They need to show it Saturday Nights at 11 or something.

Xplosion would be very necessary if they did this with it....
....make it solely for young up and comers, like the new indy guys coming to TNA, or guys not being used very often in TNA. Have small storylines only used on Xplosion, and just let them come into their own on that show. Once these people are ready, then move them to Impact.
I think it'd keep a fresh roster every few months if you moved everyone back and forth.
And someone PLEASE take Hogan out of the intro on Xplosion. There's no way he'll ever show up on that show, so it's a moot point.

The problem is its not that it is a bad show, its a great way to showcase their lower card talent, the problem is it aint on almost nowhere in the freaking world, they should treat it as promotional material and as such let stations over the world air it for next to free.

without Xplosion there would not have been this match www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSt_tLYFULYheck without Xplosion I'm not sure Sarita would even be in TNA anymore . Basically for a good chunk of 2010 Xplosion was the only place to see good Knockout matches

Is it really? never noticed, it looks the same as the tna program but with less cuts between cameras to me, the blue lights however does look fugly.

Actually, i'm just watching January 11th's Xplosion, and yeah, the (new) camerawork is horrendous : no wide shot of the ring, only handheld ringside cameras, which are constantly zooming on the wrestlers faces, as if shooting a Reaction backstage segment. Once in a while, you'll get a zoomed in crane shot, but it's as if the hard camera was out of order, and the production team just decided to shoot the show without it.
Either that, or they're going for a new shooting style, more "live event"-y. Except it's really annoying.
EDIT : watching the Jan 18th show, and they seem to be back to the standard wide shots of the ring. Thankfully.

Xplosion had Mr. Anderson's first title defence, so it's not all that bad. Plus, Mickie's on it from time to time.
