What are your thoughts on the feature film, Scream 2?
Personally, just watched it for the first time since it's initial release, and it is pretty horrible.
It takes what made the original Scream movie awesome and turns it upside down, and comes across like a direct-to-dvd movie.
Maybe that's what they were going for? Unsure... but the 'bigger picture' of a plot is something I would like to ignore.
Thoughts?

It was terrible. I hated it so much that 11 years later I still haven't seen Scream 3.

The first one was the only one that was any good. They just got more ridiculous from there.
Though in fairness I haven't seen the latest one, and am only including the original 'trilogy' ( quote marks cuz of how shoehorned trying to make it a larger story way)

Scream 2 was Scream 1.5 it basically made fun of sequels but it didn't do anything better than the original Scream. Don't get me wrong its enjoyable but like most sequels the original is much much better.

It was an enjoyable sequel wayyyyy better than the 3rd movie , just mentioning the wrechedness that is the 3rd makes me just a tad bit sick.
But back to scream 2 yea it did not break any new ground but for being a sequel it was great IMO it kept and stayed to what the 1st movie did and upped it.
The opening kill is one of my favourites amongst any movie very cleverly done IMO , and it had timothy olyphant..and well put olyphant in just about anything and he is awesome , and the twist i thought was pretty good , unlike the 3rd movie which is still like WTF to this day.

I think Scary Movie did the opening kill better than Scream 2 did, heh.
I liked the cheesy aspects of Stab, but I don't know, it felt more tedious to watch as the movie dragged on, and not fun like the first one was.

All the sequels were horrible. Watching Scream 2, I can't help thinking about how pissed I would be if I went to that Stab opening night showing. Stupid sound effects, half the crowd in costumes, and people yelling and screaming throughout the entire movie. I would have asked for a refund

I would love to experience that opening experience in a theater for real...excluding the whole murder thing ya know it's never pleasent to get killed...especially during a movie i mean what a waste of money , atleast let me finish the movie and than kill me so i can get my moneys worth.
But meh i love scream 2 it's alot of fun but thats just me.

I love the Scream movies but this one wasn't the best, nor the worst either though. I'd rank them 1, 4, 2, 3.

I loved it. Thought it was one of the best horror sequels I've ever seen. Part 3 was definitely the worst of the series, in my opinion.
I'd rank the Scream flicks: 1,2,4, and 3.

I liked it. {Spoiler}Randy {Spoiler}That's the one thing the first movie didn't do Kill of a very likable character. . Anyways I really liked it. It's a great followup and I think this might be one of the few movies to have the distinction of having the most predictable and unpredictable ending ever. Still haven't seen 4.

Scream 2, 3 and 4 kind of negated the point of the first one.
