Why wouldn't you want to be a Doctor? They get to wear bow ties and Stetsons and Fez's and travel through time and space and have adventures!!!!

Yes, but you also have 90% of the universe trying to kill you at various times. Thanks to everyone for the advice so far; I'll have to figure out my plan of action before I decide when the time is right, but it's nice to have another support group. Another bit I forgot to mention that explains a lot of familial things: aside from both my parents working in medicine, my only sibling is my sister, who's 11 years my senior, and is a doctor, married to a doctor, with a daughter. Usually having ONE kid be a doctor let alone a kid and a kid-in-law is good enough but I think it's almost encouraged my mom to try to get a complete set. Also as a sort of biting her thumb at the rest of our extended family. Even with just my sister they have the most successful kids on both sides of the extended family. |
