I'm not trying to flame Cena or anything, but there's been something I'm noticing more and more lately. It started clicking last night, when I was watching the Raw intro. Cena is barely featured in it. He's shown a few times, but it seems you see more of someone like Kane then you do of the World's Champ. And then, his matches lately have seem like an afterthought. First, his championship rematch from 2 weeks ago is turned into a bizarre 3-on-2 handicap title match, which serves more as a vehicle to further HHH's frustrations at Vince McMahon and to get the strap off of RVD than it does to do anything for Cena. Kinda understandable, but still bizarre. Then, last night, Cena's in a throwaway match with Chris Masters, in the middle of the show, which ends less than a minute from returning from commercial break, which then serves as a setup for RVD/Cena. I've never seen a match end that quickly after returning from break. It actually feels like the Champ is getting a depush while still holding the belt.
Does anyone see this, or, once again, is it just me?

Cena does matter. You know why? Because you just made the 12478989890889th thread on him this week alone.

Vince McMahon is always the centerpiece of the promotion when he has a recurring on-air role. Since Cena is in a feud with RVD, he's going to get pushed down, whereas anybody currently feuding or siding with Vince will get the spotlight (Spirit Squad, HBK, HHH).
It's been like this since "Mr. McMahon" was created.

I think with DX returning, he's going to be less and less "important" to the show. Which is sad, as he's champ. It almost seems to me like they're finally frustrated with him not getting the reaction from the crowd that they wanted, so they're going with something they KNOW is going to work people up (DX).

Agreed. His ego is out of control in the need to put himself on TV. Once again, if it ain't broke, beat it into the ground until it is.

John Cena does matter, but he aint the top attraction for the Raw brand right now. Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Spirit Squad, Edge, Mick Foley, ECW are all getting more air time than him. Even his emerging feud with Rob Van Dam has much more focus on RVD and his challenge at One Night Stand, if that makes sense.
However, am I the only one who thinks that this might inadvertantly work in the WWE's favour? One of the main grievances of Cena haters, myself included, is that he occupied too much TV time, was constantly shoved down our throats and was seemingly unstoppable. His unstoppability has to be in question now too I guess... I mean last week Triple H took him out and had him effectively pinned cleanly; and this week, Rob Van Dam got the best of him in the ring...

Interesting point. Yet I can't help wondering if Vince is actually acknowledging Cena's X-Pac Heat, and putting him off the scene, just to let it die down before they push Cena again.
