I was just browsing through Wikipedia when I came across this regarding Hardcore Holly's absence through injury...
"He has recently been undergoing several surgeries to repair nagging injuries. He was hospitalized after a staph infection developed in an arm wound. The infection has since turned into MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus), which has the potential to render Holly unable to wrestle or even kill him."
Damn, I know he's not the most popular guy around these parts, but we wouldn't wish that upon him, would we?

Good.
"Holly has gained something of a reputation as a bully due to his stiff in-ring style by which he has injured wrestlers to the degree that they must take time off, such as with former WWE employee Matt Morgan and following unstaged incidents, such as his treatment of Tough Enough III contestant Matt Cappotelli and his vindictive attack on the face of René Duprée during a match as punishment after Dupree got into a traffic accident with Holly's rental car and neglected to own up to it, resulting in monetary damages and legal issues for Holly. Some believe him to be a real life "enforcer" used by Vince McMahon to punish poor behavior on the part of young wrestlers. He is also one of the leaders of the Wrestler's Court with John Bradshaw Layfield, responsible for in-house policing of wrestlers and rumored hazing. While some fans were highly critical of Holly's actions, others defended his actions as the typical means of conflict resolution within the wrestling industry, which is not unionized and poorly regulated and therefore lacks conventional mechanisms for addressing grievances."

What exactly is wrong with you? The guy has an infection that might KILL him and at the very least, will take away what he loves to do and you say good. The total ignorance of some people amazes me

I'd be fine with never watching another Hardcore Holly Match.
Don't get me wrong, it sucks not to be able to do the thing you love to do, and to have it taken away from you,
but I personally would be ok without watching another Hardcore Holly match.

1) Not a fan of Bob Holly. 2) I hope he pulls through okay and able to wrestle. 3) I hope they put him in an agent's position instead.

Not to jump on bandwagon but resilient staph infections are very serious conditions. Especally if they end up affecting the circulatory system. I with Bob the best of luck

Get well soon Bob.
But yeah, that rant about Holly, I've seen it before. Some people are pretty sick. Too bad Hardcore couldn't beat some internet ass and throw them in the Mississippi River.

I liked Bob Holly for a while, but I kind of turned on him after I saw him shoot on a totally unsuspecting Matt Cappotelli. From his appearance on Tough Enough, followed by his shoot interviews, I began to be turned off by his real personality and temperament. He seemed a little too choleric for my taste. What's more, when Holly wrestled Matt again at a live event, his stiff wrestling concussed him. Though I was not a fan of him for the past few years, I can't deny he was very devoted to wrestling and it would be sad that he would have to retire due to injury. He was with the company longer than anyone other current wrestler but HBK and Undertaker. His tough personal training and conditioning was said to be one of the most rigorous, which shows he was very devoted. He also fell victim to two injuries at very unfortunate times (to Angle and Lesnar). The injury during his Angle match occurred when he was really getting over. He worked really hard in his matches and I thought he was a great wrestler. I didn't appreciate him until his Hardcore Holly gimmick, which seemed to reflect his true personality much more than Sparky Plugg and Bombastic Bob. Anyway, I wish him the very best.
