Bringing this back now for two things:
1. Gaming starts in about 9 hours, 45 minutes (11 a.m. EDT) 2. Even though gaming hasn't started, the stream has! People are also in the chat... including me. Come in and partake!

I came here JUST to post this! It's the one charity-related thing I do all year (aside from charity wrestling shows). I can't wait.
The gaming hasn't even started yet, and they've already raised $12,778.66!!! That's more than the first Marathon, and almost HALF of the second one! Last year they got $82,082. Let's help them beat it this year and provide a HEFTY check to Child's Play!

Lost Levels has the potential to be a trainwreck.

Lost Levels has the potential to be a trainwreck. Sure does, and that's what I'm hoping for. The longer it goes, the more money it brings in.

WOOOO!!! Time to see if I still remember the password to my very first Twitter account that I made two years ago just to be able to chat in their room...
Yep!
My greatest memory will always be when I quoted Phineas and Ferb in the chat (I'll be in and out as EdPend4MM, by the way) and they quoted it back by saying "Aren't you a little old to be watching a kid's cartoon?" but I didn't catch it and answered the question seriously. Then whoever was running the stream said I must not watch the show all that much. I asked why and they explained to me...with about 2,200 people watching along. I got so much guff for that. I deserved it though, dunno HOW when we were even discussing the show I didn't make the connection.

Feels like it to me. I posted a couple of YT vids last year of this event, including getting a shoutout for the (at the time, obviously) Wrestlecrap forums. I still remember being logged in for the grand finale where they all sang a rewritten version of "Bump and Grind" about the marathon. I hope they all play NSMB Wii together as that should be pretty damn funny. That's on their docket, so it's very possible. They tried to do that last year but I think they only had 1 or 2 men and their wives there who didn't want to play. Though the wives did play a level together when they hit one of the milestones. They'd have to get there quick, they've said this is probably the one time all those guys would be there together until the very end. They said the big reason they're going backwards through the games the first time is because alot of people can't get on in the morning when they do the classic ones and end up tuning in when they're halfway through World and are already done with SMB 1-3. They said they're trying to time it so they get to the classic games sometime Sunday evening. I will say they aren't Mario pros or anything, but they have cleared SMB1 pretty damn quick. SMB 3 takes a couple of hours, and I've always missed 2. As someone who supports their cause I hope they do the blue coins again in Sunshine since that alone takes them to the tune of about 20 hours to do. As a viewer though, I REALLY hope if/when they get to the end they do the green star run. Watching them do the blue coins isn't really fun. They're about out of gas by then and it's just real sloppy in general.

Four Player NSMBWii would have even more trainwreck potential than Lost Levels. Even when working together it's hard not to get in each others way, but the game is specifically designed to tempt you to screw over your team mates. It's both frustrating and hilarious at the same time.

Galaxy 2 is finally down. New SMB Wii up next. They said they will start with 1 player in the Mario costume, and for every $1,000 raised while playing it they'll add an extra player with a costume. The sooner they get to $4,000 raised the longer they'll do 4 players.
