Just had a chance to catch last nights season premiere, and I feel a bit underwhelmed.
I knew they basically wrote themselves into a corner with last seasons finale, but I remained hopeful that this season would take it back closer to reality... and thus far, I have been let down.
I didn't understand the black rimmed glasses in the opening scene, and Shane with long sideburns is odd to me... I guess I shall just get on this coaster and see how this season develops.
What did you all think?

Great episode. I find it really sets things up for some excitement in this season. {Spoiler} I think Estevan is still alive and it's all a set up to get Nancy out of prison. Either that or now with Estevan out of the picture, his number 2 in charge is now the head and he'll help out Nancy, because he liked her and was only following orders when he was trying to capture her. Also his buddy really liked Shane and he's probably second in charge now. Silas not going to New York to find his mom is going to add some interesting side stories too one thing I don't like is the show has been cut down to only half an hour this season.

I loved the first 3 seasons, but the show completely lost me about halfway through the 4th. I tuned in to see a quirky little show about a housewife selling dope, not a show about that house wife becoming involved with a Mexican cartel and all the s*** that followed.
Not trying to take away from anyones enjoyment, I just saw a Weeds thread and decided to throw in my 2 cents. It just grew way beyond what I was really enjoying about the series

I for one have been enjoying the changes. But I can agree with someone who says why they don't like them. At least your not just saying you don't like them just because. You have a reason and I respect that. To me it's almost like watching a life story of how this unsuspecting woman became one of the biggest drug pushers in area. I have a weird feeling that when the show ends it's going to turn out this has all been a flash back story.
