Fishing! Maybe this was just me but back when Zelda: Ocarina of Time came out I knew several people who had little interest in video games especially RPGs however on seeing the Fishing section in Ocarina of Time they became strangely hooked (no Pun intended). Trying to find the perfect spot to stand to reel in the biggest fish. Did anyone else experience this?

I love the game anyway, but I did find it kind of addicting.

First I heard of that happening. TBH, I just usually tried to get the fishing done as quickly as possible.

I remember when myself and a friend first stumbled upon this. We didn't resume normal gameplay for the better part of a week.

Did it once or twice, then never again. I am usually a gamer who does not particularly care for the mini-games and such.

I fish to get the extras out of it then stop personally. Still, there are much worse fishing minigames out there.
Isn't that right, Twilight Princess and your annoying mandatory fishing segments?

Eh, I thought it was pretty forgiving once you got the hang of it. The bottle you fish for is absurdly easy to get, for one.

I did not really care that much about it. I loved all the other thing in the game.

To be fair, catching fish in TP was retardedly easy, and you only had to do it a grand total of like three times. Of the myriad of problems that game has, the fishing is probably the least offensive.

What's funny is the fishing was the reason I never got into twilight princess. It litteraly made me furious. Some stuff I yelled, "I live in Michigan if I wanted to fish I'd be out there fishing. By the time I'd been playing the first Zelda for a half hour I'd allready killed a dragon. Over twenty years later I'm FISHING. Yeah that's progress!"
