I guess his residual checks from the Cars series must have finally ran dry.

The first one managed to be terrible, with a cast that included The Rock, Julie Andrews and Billy Crystal. I shudder to think how bad the sequel's going to be without them.

More info hereIt gives the synopsis: And this delightful picture. I predict a scene where a little boy has a tooth that's loose so Larry suggests he tie a string to the tooth and a door knob in order to "Git R Done."

that pretty much guarantees it will suck I thought the words "Video Release" would have. Pretty sure the "The Tooth Fairy 2" part was a dead giveaway.

I remember the first one, where the guy The Rock was playing was a complete, where he was a cocky hocky player and was ruining children by saying their dreams sucked. He then got punished by this fantasy thing where he is working toward some kind of change. Now, in this one, the guy is actually nice, down on his luck, and he actually is helping kids, and he accidentally says how Tooth Fairy aren't real. Yet, the punishment is the same as asshole Rocky? What kind of sense does that make?

Why is Larry the Cable Guy in all of these kid-friendly films all of a sudden? His act is hardly family friendly, unless you think jokes about hookers = family entertainment.

What kind of sense does that make? My guess is that he does it solely to try and impress her and probably only gives 50%. Complete guess. But I have a feeling that I'll find out because I'll bite the bullet and watch it as part of my Direct to DVD reviews.

that pretty much guarantees it will suck I thought the words "Video Release" would have. I thought the fact that the movie is called Tooth Fairy 2 was a pretty good indicator myself.

Because family movies/tv shows are certified cash cows, look at Bob Saget and George Carlin they did a lot of family stuff despite their adult centric stand up routines.
