I thought this thread was gonna be
"found some mysterious cut of Star Wars. 20 minutes into the film it started glitching and there was an image of a scary clown staring at us for over an hour. then my grandmother dropped dead in the other room and the clown went away."

I guy I know SWEARS that the kiss between Luke and Leia when they swung over the empty shaft was a lot longer and more passionate. Lucas changed it because it would have been, you know... awkward. I just chalk it up to him imagining it because of teen hormones. Yeah, your friend definitely imagined that. He might have imagined seeing it, but a version of that scene definitely exists. Except they don't actually kiss because Threepio interrupts them. Although I could have sworn I'd read about a take in which the kiss is completed. EDIT: Maybe it's this?

Yeah, does kind of sound like creepy pasta.

I was reading on the internet another example of this is a scene in ESB where a kamikaze Snowspeeder crashes into one of the AT-AT's on Hoth, showing it from the prospective of inside the At-At. I swear I've seen this, but apparently it's not in the movie.

I don't buy Lucas cutting it because it was "awkward" since Luke and Leia weren't siblings until Return of the Jedi. If Lucas was that bothered he wouldn't have kept playing up the love triangle aspects in A New Hope and the first half of Empire Strikes Back. Hell, Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader were seperate characters up until about the second last draft of Empire.

None of these clips ever appeared on the original cut of the film. I saw SW in 77 and I never saw any sequence involving Biggs or watching a battle in space (or the selling of the speeder although it was mentioned). I do remember seeing pictures of it and reading about it but it wasn't in the final film at the time.
In ESB the only time you see Luke's hand is after the "garbage chute" door is opened. You see it fly off into the distance when Luke falls. There may have been a nano-second clip of his hand going with the lightsabre lit..but that's immediately after it has been chopped off.

There is also a scene in Jedi when Luke is in the Rancor Pit he jumps up and grabs the gate of the trap door. there is some pictures online of the scene

If anyone can post that Empire Strikes Back scene with the Wampa's on Hoth when the rebels are escaping it would be greatly appreciated. I remember seeing the scene on the DVD but for whatever reason I haven't come across it in recent years as I haven't seen my DVD of Empire in a long time.

I remember reading about those scenes in the comic book adaptation of Star Wars, especially the scenes of Luke at Toshi Station with his friends. I think a lot of the comic was written before the movie released, and was based on Lucas' novel adaptation.

There's a shot of C-3PO ripping the sign from the door in the original trailer for ESB. Hehe, never knew C-3PO had that kind of malice in him. Rumor has it he originally yelled "Welcome to Hoth, motherf***ers!" when the Wampa attack began, but Lucas wanted to keep the PG rating.

This scene fleshes out the whole rebellion thing a little more. But its kind of unnecessary and makes little sense as to why they would join the imperial star academy if they didn't want to be drafted by the empire. Still its an interesting scene.

I think maybe he wanted to flight training on the Empire's dime and then escape like Biggs dig. Hell, he just wanted out. It is not as though he actually was fully in the know about what the Empire was up to as he was on a planet that was still predominately controlled by a Hutt. Yes, the Empire had a presence there while the Republic did not, but the planet was still one where non-humans could have a significant role, something that he would not have seen until he left. To Luke it was just a corrupt government that did not pay attention to the plights of people out in the outer reaches of the galaxy, not knowing that he was actually lucky to live that far from Empire influence (then again, he WAS human, so he could have done well in the Empire).
