I'd like to imagine that Palps just monologues and it is just converted into coherent Dark Side treatises.

Why do you think he is always holding his hands out like he does? His hands hurt from all the typing that he does. I bet he has horrible carpal tunnel.

Do they have books in the Star Wars universe from the period of the prequels and onwards?
I don't even recall seeing anything that resembles paper in any of those films.

For those who may not know, Palpatine also has writing credits for The Compete Fighter's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide 2, and The Oriental Handbook.
((Sorry, "The Dark Side Compendium" sounds so much like a DnD book to me!!) ;D ;D ;D ;D

The Dark Side Compendium sounds like little snippets of dark side wisdom - "Saute some tuan-tuan with garlic and cilantro, sprinkle on a good pinch of midichlorians, and you're ready for a visit from the Grand Moff and Mrs. Moff"
