If there is anyone in pop music I'm rooting for, it's this kid. She's been **** on by god knows how many people for singing the "worst song ever", and taken it totally in stride. Most girls her age sob uncontrollably if a boy they like doesn't like them back. The sheer amount of hatred she has received.... it just makes me think humanity has got its priorities completely wrong or just enjoys picking on fourteen-year-old girls.

This song is actually decent. I also like how the lyrics at the start hint at the fact that everyone hated her for Friday but that she's got a record deal and a real song and so f*** those guys. Good for her.
I'm actually rooting for her a little bit.

I wish people would stop posting OMG - I actually think that if it was being sung by someone older, and talented, it's a reasonable song, I just think that by posting it on a public forum, you're getting us all put on some sort of list.

Man, the beat in "OMG" is completely wasted with those lyrics. It deserves better than that. I do feel quite ashamed of myself for even watching that.
As for Rebecca Black, she has zero chance to actually succeed, but I hope she somehow does. She has received an unjust amount of hatred for a nonsense song. The song is "amusing" in the "so bad it's good" way. She doesn't deserve to have it haunt her for the rest of her would-be career. I say get with Kanye West & remix that shit.

I agree, I clicked on the video, then scrolled down the page reading the posts, and I actually liked the song, then I scrolled back up to see that it was a middle schooler singing. Seriously, what the hell.

I like her, and in no way did she deserve the hostility she got.

I have no sympathy for Rebecca Black or anyone like her.
Why? Because she will make more money in a few years being terrible at her job than I will in my lifetime for performing exceedingly well at mine. If anything, she should feel bad for me.

This, I feel bad for her with the insults and all that, but seriously, she got a musical career for having a bad song! that's really unfair, she is not even a musician, her parents paid the studio, the video, it's not even her voice, and with all that she is awarded a music career, again I find this unfair.

I feel bad for her a she didn't deserve the hate she got. If she makes it big I'll find it funny as the people who caused her fame were the same ones bashing her.

Am I the only one that thinks that Friday was awful on purpose? Think about it... 1. Release a song so bad that it gains internet infamy within days. 2. Release a much better song so that gullible people talk about how much you've improved and how the haters were wrong and what a comeback this is etc etc. 3. 4 PROFIT!

This isn't really a huge segment of the industry... but before "album rock" took off in the 60's, artists used to basically just release singles w/ B-sides here and there, so in a way, it's kinda old school.
