Wow. I don't play MMORPG's at all, and this article confirms that I made the right choice. The douchebaggery exhibited in some of those stories is absolutely frightening. Number 4 and Number 1 in particular had me shaking my head in bewilderment.

If anything, this list just further proves the GIFT(Greater Internet f***wad Theory), which says people under the veil of anonymity of the internet will become f***wads, is true.

Ha the "Corrupted Blood" stuff was pretty funny. I was part of a guild where one of the Hunters got the idea from another server so we formed a raid and right after Hakkar infected like 9 of our hunters pets he were warned to stay away from the major cities. I didn't listen and had one f*** of a repair bill.

#1 is awesome - reminds me of my evil days at the start of Facebook Wrestler, when my cartel used to find ways to infiltrate the top stables, and then boot the incumbents and replace them with other cartel members.

Also, #7 is admirable - makes me want to check out this EVE game.

Also, #7 is admirable - makes me want to check out this EVE game. If you have a PS3, next year you can play the FPS offshoot of EVE called Dust-514. What you do in Dust-514 is, well, you basically play a mercenary in EVE. In EVE the battle over planets only takes place in space, but in Dust, you play the land battles over those planets. The people playing EVE actually get to hire your services to fight for their side.

I don't have a PS3, can't justify the outlay, and basically it would be to play DC Universe, if I playtested and enjoyed it. I would like to get into some sort of continuing game, as I'm enjoying Black Ops multiplayer, but I'm both not especially good and getting a little jaded. I'm a wizard with the frag grenade nowadays, but seem to have forgotten how to fire a gun. WoW actually looks like fun, but I don't appreciate the ongoing expense.

I can't believe they didn't put in the Star Wars Galaxies thing. They put out a paid expansion, then like a month later (maybe just a couple weeks) they applied a patch that nullified much of that paid expansion.
Oh, and how's this for a dickish move? About a month or so ago I received a temporary ban from RIFT. Why? I spoke in a broadcast channel to another player, asking him if any of his guild members wanted to join.
That's it. Apparently the GM felt that "guild members" was an explicit term when if you open the guild window, it clearly refers to members as members.

Play Demon's Souls and you're bound to encounter some of the most ruthless pricks in online gaming. I love it, though.

If MMORPG players were around when God said, "Let their be light" they'd have called the light gay, and plunged the universe back into darkness by squatting their nutsacks over it.
This made me laugh my ass off. Kinda makes me glad I dont do MMO's. And #1 is just flat out hilarious.

I just knew the funeral crash would make the list.
I'd keep playing WoW if I had friends who actually play WoW (none of my friends are into PC games in general) to play with, as soloing gets a boring after a while. That, and well, if I had the extra cash to pay for subscriptions. I've tried private servers, and while it actually works, the servers themselves aren't that stable and wind up crashing after about 15 minutes. It's not worth it.

I remember #4 quite clearly, though I'm a little surprised that they didn't talk about the infamous server crash when all 6 (at the time, this was the day before the honor system was made non-existent) Horde bosses were being attacked at the exact same time. I should know; I was the lowbie of the bunch at that time.

Did that guy used a Misfits song for his little video about killing at funeral?
What a dick.

1, 3 & 6 made me laugh.
Especially 3 for some reason.

Also, #7 is admirable - makes me want to check out this EVE game. It's pretty much what EVE is all about. Outside of player interactions like that, there just isn't much reason to play.
