I want to say something and I don't know how well ill be taken by european fans
I don't know why, but from this last time, argentina and brazil has lost everything that made them south american teams, they literally don't had blood (missing 4 penalties, Brazil? Are they f***ing serious?) brazil lost everything that made them brazil and play more like europeans nothing wrong with that, but brazil is supposed to be brazil) and argentina are just a bunch of guys who don't feel their shirt anymore (unless exceptions like aguero)
It's time for both countries to start making to wear their shirt more important, what happend to brazil and argentina in this cup is unbelievable, both are no longer the best national teams here (uruguay and chile are now IMO)
I hope to see them work better for the next cup, imagine if brazil lost a word cup again on their country, they will be ostracized like what hapened to their national team on 1950
It's definitely interesting and I'm not sure what it should be put down to. I don't think it's got much to do with the bulk of their players playing in Europe since that's been going on for years.
In Brazil's case I think it might just be a less talented generation of players. Brazil have had years and years of producing the world's best players but right now their team isn't good enough. In a couple of years that should change and when the next World Cup comes round I fully expect them to be favourites but they need guys like Neymar to fulfil their potential.
Argentina on the other hand seem to have so many good players yet don't deliver. Perhaps it's down to the coaching? Whose been their best manager in the last 20 years? Probably Bielsa. But something is going wrong if a team with Messi in it is continually underperforming.
