Like the US has Alaska and Hawaii, the freak States. I just wonder if any other place in the World considers part of their Nation as outside of the norm.

Chile has easter island (yeah, the one with the moais), which is not near of the territory, and even though is considered within the jurisdiction of a region, is still considered as something apart from the country

France have over-seas departments which are considered part of the country in that they have the same rights, are considered French citizens and are able to vote politically. French Guiana comes to mind.
