I almost voted Gary Cherone out of principle because he gets crapped on so much for his VH stint. It wasn't bad and he's an excellent rock singer.
But in the end, I voted DLR. That's my favorite VH.

It is overall unfair, but it happens in these situations. Well, he was the singer on the worst selling VH album, and it's just a lackluster album compared to their best work. VH3 is criminally underrated. For me, it is VH at their peak as far as musicianship is concerned. Gary Cherone's contribution to the band allowed the band to experiment with progressive music, acoustics, and etc. One of the main reasons I love the album is that it's so different and yet it still maintains a sense of classic VH. Without You, One I Want, Fire In The Hole, and Ballot for the Bullet are pretty hard hitting songs if you ask me. Although, in my opinion, their masterpiece on that album will always be "A Year To The Day". Gary's vocals in that song are just spine chilling and filled with emotion.
