From what I just picked up on Wikipedia (and following the links), this video may not be accurate in 2 years time. Apparently, someone from Wichita is trying to get Joyland back up and running and then expand.

Haven't you already posted this at least twice? Sorry if I have. After years of abusing alcohol, I have the world's worst short-term memory (note: s l i k is a recovering alcoholic for those who don't know). I barely remember what I did the day before. It isn't intentional.

From what I just picked up on Wikipedia (and following the links), this video may not be accurate in 2 years time. Apparently, someone from Wichita is trying to get Joyland back up and running and then expand. This always happens. Joyland gets bought. Joyland re-opens. Joyland closes. It is a terrible cycle. Here is it's infamous (in roller coaster circles) wooden coaster of doom. To this day, riding that is the most terrifying experience of my life. You honestly feel you could die at any moment because the whole ride could collapse.

SPOILER ALERT: Stuff closes; whether or not you give a f*** about it.
You know what I loved? Rax and their shakes you couldn't drink because you would invariably get a chocolate chip wedged in the straw.
Do I love it? God yes. Is it over? Again, god yes. I think there might be a few stragglers, but the head has been severed; death will come.
Hell, theme parks might even be dying as a whole. A.) Everything there costs $8,000 and B.) Who does stuff off-line anymore? Go out in public with people and have a good time!? That's so 1995.

It isn't intentional. Might I ask you one question then? How do you even know if that place is even abandoned if you can not remember the day before? I mean, you live many states away, so if you have difficulty remembering yesterday, what is to say that your memories on an amusement park are true?

I live in Hutchinson, the next town over from Wichita. I've been there a few times. It's a very interesting place in a creepy kind of way. Just looks like a nuclear fallout happened or something. Reminded me a lot of Chernobyl. Some buddies of mine, who are photographers, wen't out there a while back to shoot some pictures. I don't know if you can see the pictures or not because of his privacy settings, but here's the link: www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1441107909082.61344.1274590698
