... but for some reason I LOVE the ones that Guns n Roses did. I dunno how, but they managed to do them without feeling hokey or full of ****. Not many bands managed to do them and just sound 100% sincere.

Those ballads of the UYI albums, like November Rain, are some of the best rock ballads ever written. The musicianship is awesome, the production is amazing, and the songs just plain out kick ass. I couldn't agree with you more!

Axl stated he would quite music if November Rain didn't come out exactly as he wanted. He spent years writing it, as it was considered for Appetite, but Axl felt it wasn't ready. Then, he almost wasn't going to release the video, he wanted to buy it back from the band, but because it would have bankrupted him personally and some other reasons, he decided to release it.
