NL - Brian McCann and I can't really think of any other catchers in the NL having All Star-type seasons. Mainly because I don't follow NL ball so much except during Interleague play and seeing how the Phils are doing.

CHOOCH. Not an offensive powerhouse (though he's a surprisingly clutch hitter in the later stages of a tight game), but a tremendous catcher. The Philadelphia staff goes out of their way to compliment how well Ruiz calls games.

I wonder who the actual AL backup would be if Matt Wieters didn't have to be the token Oriole. I think Santana has the power numbers to qualify.
