Given the cover shown in that article, I highly doubt it would be the modern team.
Although, they were pretty entertaining the one time I saw them in War of Kings.

I'd only be interested if it was the early nineties Jim Valentino team.
That said, as interested as I'd be in it, if ya thought Green Lantern tanked ya ain't seen nothing yet I fear.

The cover is probably just something the guy writing the article threw up there. Its not like it was something attached to an official press release or anything. The modern team has been one of Marvel's most critically successful titles in the last ten years, I can't even imagine Marvel picking a mostly forgotten relic of a team that nobodies cared about in decades over Rocket Raccoon. DC would yes, in a heartbeat, but Marvel seems to favor the modern trends.

Marvel has a Guardians of the Galaxy movie in development.
Meanwhile, DC can't get one of their own Trinity's movie out of development hell to save their life.

If it's the original team, I'll be there on Day 1. If it's the modern team, though, I'll still see it... but I won't be looking forward to it that much.

The modern books have been pretty outstanding, Abnett and Lanning are great with cosmic stuff.

Meh. Then again, I'm not into cosmic Marvel. Give me a Doctor Strange movie with some connection to Guillermo Del Toro, and I'll be happy.

I agree, a Dr. Strange movie would be tops on my list right now. If only they had struck when magic was huge with Harry Potter in full swing. Actually. just read the article, and it sounds like a Strange movie is finally progressing.

Hmmmmm.
I think I'd vrather they do a Nova movie and spin in to GotG. Like GL, this will likely fall in to the 'too much, too soon' catagory dfor the average movie go-er.

I've never even heard of this. Marvel is way ahead of DC in terms of utilizing their IP.

Warner Brothers can start casting yet another Kal-El to be in Legion of Superheroes: The Motion Picture!
I hate both teams...

Sounds awesome. I loved the DNA books.
The only thing that worries me is that if I see a real life version of Mantis, I may uncontrollably touch myself in the theater.

As much as I liked them (I had that issue in the article), this will tank. Exactly my feeling on both counts. I had most of that run. I'm a big Jim Valentino fan. I wish he was doing more stuff rather than going the publishing route.

I can see it being a surprise success. It will likely do middle of the road, but a super fun sci-fi western hasn't come out since what? Serenity? We are ready for another one.
