DeWayne (he is only the Rock if he is in wrestling) is just sucking up to wrestling fans because his new movie will bomb worse than Ishtar. If he was as successful as he and the WWE would have you believe, he would have nothing to do with WWE, TNA or wrestling in general.

Actually, I haven't really been a fan of any of the Rock's movies, as much as I am a fan of him as a wrestler, but his new one has the potential to be really good. It's directed by the guy who did Donnie Darko, and it has a really weird cast. It's certainly intriguing.

The Rock, if he quit acting today, would never have to work another day in his life if he didn't want to. With the money he's made from wrestling and from movies, I'm sure he's quite well off. Why would he want to leave his wife and kid behind and go on the road 300 days a year again and get beat up every night?

Go back to watching your own DX segments and get out of this thread. Austin is doing the same thing Rocky is doing. Jericho too. They all followed in his footsteps. He's the biggest name affiliated with wrestling in the post-millienium. He'll come back and do what he wants when he wants. Period. And the Rock doesn't suck to fans. Sorry but his name isn't Shawn Michaels, kid.

I am a Rock fan but, face facts he doesn't want to have anything to do with wrestling unless it means his movie goes to number one. I never said he sucked, he is better than 3/4 of the roster right now and could easily be called the best of all time. As far as Austin and Jericho, good for them. Make what you can while you can but don't forget who and what got you where you are. As far as Austin and Jericho following in Rock's footsteps, Austin was a regular on Nash Bridges for 3 years, well before the Rock had a dream of making movies. Besides they are all following in Hogan's footsteps, whether or not people want to admit it.

Oh and if The Rock wants to keep on making movies (And why should he not) I'd prefer he stayed away from the WWE. I was getting tired of him popping in every now and then when he felt like it. That's not to say I wouldn't like him back in the WWE, in face I'd love it
I've actually enjoyed a few of his films too, I have Walking Tall on DVD and seen some others

I'm not impressed with attacks on a guy that revolutionized the way heels and faces are seen in the business. Hate him if it appeases you. Honestly, you and yours aren't worth such debate. And face what, kid? The Rock grew up on wrestling long before you knew what "heel" or "face" meant. You think you and lesser fans have the authority to judge him? That's laughable. He generated the highest buyrates and ratings of the era. There is no dismissing his love for the business. Just because he's TALENTED enough to do movies and come back to help lesser talent doesn't prove anything to the contrary. BTW, Nash Bridges is a FAR cry from the other making his debut in a $70 million debut weekend blockbuster.

Besides which some might view Rock coming back to verbally embarrass a young, lazy, unpopular superstar being pushed to the stars despite the obvious contemptment from a sizeable section of the fans as being just a tad hypocritical. I was just saying I'd like to see it, odds are we won't as Vince is pushing this guy Cena down our throats week in and week out, so it won't happen. I thought Rock was better in the ring than Cena was,IMO.

The Rock sold better than anyone I've seen, and he has proved he is able to go with the best, and put on numerous classic matches. And yes, the brahma bull destroying Cena on the mic would be hilarious. It would be like that great promo when HHH was dissing Cena for being a bad wrestler, except much better.

Only two people are required by law to talk in the third person, David Lee Roth and The Rock. ..and Bob Dole. Bob Dole doesn't need this. On-Topic: I hope Rock does come back, if only for a night. I miss him.

Smackdown needs The Rock so bad right now.
There's so much the Rock could do for Rey, Orton and the show in general...

Yeah I would love to see Rock and Mysterio interact just ONE time. F Orton. He's had enough rubs and the fans STILL don't care about him to the right degree.

I have taken exception of how during recent times Rock has seemed to deliebrately ignore the WWE fanbase and the WWE because I think it's almost disrespectful. If he wants to be associated with the product then good and if he doesn't then fine. But it seems to me that when it suits him he'll be movie-star/wrestler and when he doesn't he'll just be Rock the movie star. Rumor has it that just like Maria Carey demands 147 white roses as a TV appearance stipulation that Rock specifically asks not to be asked about wrestling. I remember the big 3 hour Raw they did to mark it's return to USA Network and Rock thought it was much more important to be introducing a couple of teams in a football match than turning up just to smile and wave at the fans who got him to where he is today. It's not that I dislike Rock but I do think sometimes he would do well to remember where exactly he came from and indeed where a sizeable portion of his current box-office come from. OK........ So to "remember where he came from," should he sacrifice the present and future?
