I tend not to like animated shows based on comic characters. I don't have the patience for drawn out weekly series like that, unless the story is very compact and there's no filler. I still wonder how I ever got through Dragon Ball Z as a kid. ;D
So I figured try some animated comic films on Netflix. I just saw Batman Under The Red Hood and I actually enjoyed it a lot. Can anyone recommended something in the vein? Something more entertaining for adults with a compact, no filler story?

Green Lantern: First Flight. What Green Lantern: The Movie should've[/b] been.

I would recommend watching individual episodes of Batman TAS, such as "Heart of Ice," "Mad as a Hatter," "Perchance to Dream," "The Man who Killed Batman," "Two-Face," "Never Fear," "Mad Love," "Over the Edge," and the movie based on the series, "Mask of the Phantasm." It's been said many, many times, but that series really is the definitive incarnation of Batman, even surpassing the comics in many ways.
The other DCAU shows are good as well, but I'm not nearly as familiar with them, so coming up with a list of individual episodes would be difficult.

you could watch DC New Frontier. Its a decent movie and so compact that they cut the best scenes and characters from the book out to get a short run time.

I recommend both the Ultimate Avengers movies, which were both quite enjoyable, in my opinion.

Sin City and The Punisher (2004, with Thomas Jane and John Travolta) are really good, especially if you aren't too big on superpowers. A bonus, Sin City is filmed like a live-action comic book.

I agree with all of the above, especially the Ultimate Avengers movies if you like Hulk based rampages. There is also the criminally underrated 1990's X-Men animated series that I am desperate to acquire on DVD in its entirety, and it's later counterpart Wolverine and the X-Men, which is a little light on the violence, but great in stories.

WONDER WOMAN remains my favorite animated comic book movie. Definitely check that out.
EDIT: Actually, WW and BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM are pretty much tied.

I actually watched Superman: Brainiac Attacks instead of WW, and actually shut it off after 5 minutes of listening to the blasphemous representation of Luthor with his hallowed Timmverse appearance and horrible voicing.

I've only ever seen bits and pieces of BRAINIAC ATTACKS. I didn't really care for it, based on what I saw. And whoever told you WW was bad is a LIAR! LIAAAAAARRR!!!
