Which ones did you like? I haven't seen a lot. The ones that I have seen were "Exit Wounds", "Fire Down Below", and "Machete." I liked Exit Wounds. Machete was one of my favorites from last year and I have to admit, he was actually pretty funny as a bad guy. Fire Down Below was alright. I would see others. I read that the Under Siege movies were classics, as were Out For Justice, Above The Law, and Marked For Death.
We all know the guy is not a great actor, even the man himself admits it, but he does have some entertaining movies.

Above the Law - Good Hard to Kill - Great Marked for Death - Brilliant Out for Justice - Brilliant Under Siege - Great On Deadly Ground - Funny atleast Under Siege 2: Dark Territory - Good Executive Decision - small role but it's a good one.
Every starring role after Under Siege 2 is terrible. Fire Down Below is terrible. Even the fight scenes are bad.

I recently saw his newer film Born to Raise Hell and it was...yeah...uh... he needs to stop writing for himself.
Anyway, Seagal movies are a guilty pleasure. Half Past Dead was a fun attempt to revive his career. Too bad he had fallen hard into the stunt double for every effort territory.

Me too. For me, it'd be Exit Wounds, and not even because of him.

Under Siege is a really good action movie, and Under Siege 2 is really better then it has any actual right to be. The casting of the villains in those movies is really, really strong.
I have a real soft spot for Fire Down Below as well, and its weird but of all-time memorable movie scenes, the one where Seagal buys that ladies honey is pretty much embedded in my head forever.

Why have I been hearing about Big Steve so much lately...? He's been training UFC fighters, if you'll believe it. Two guys he's worked with have delivered amazing, highlight reel Knockouts with front kicks to the face. Also, he basically lives on the Direct to DVD market with a movie every 4-6 months.

I don't know how good of a movie it is, but I swear my parents made me watch Fire Down Below at least 20 times growing up.
And recently I'm hanging with my dad and I saw Under Siege 2 for the first time. It was a pretty solid movie except for the fact that Seagal can survive anything. Morris Chestnut was my favorite thing in that particular film.

His first 5 movies are classics, even some of his later DTDVD stuff has their moments.
Belly of the Beast is one of my favorites of his later efforts.

I simply call him...Legend. Or not, whatever.

I've seen most of Seagal's films except for The Glimmer Man, The Patriot, and a lot of his DTV offerings after Belly of the Beast. Though a lot of the movies blend in my memory these days. Still need to see Clementine.
Above the Law- Great Under Siege- His best but it lacked a lot of actual beat downs Out for Justice- ANYBODY SEE RICHIE?! Hard to Kill- Badassery On Deadly Ground- It's my friend's favorite film due to the philosophical beatdown. If anyone has the clip of the 12 minute speech that supposedly made test audiences walk away please let me know. I find it silly. Marked for Death- For some reason I keep thinking of the voodoo dude from Predator 2. Fun film. Under Siege 2- f*** YOU Coconut Bombs. Both Under Siege posters are in my room, in the midst of anime merchandise everywhere haha. Executive Decision- I remember in an interview Seagal said his character survived the fall. I guess his ego was such an effective cushion. Fire Down Below- Seagal started to decline around here. Exit Wounds- I love how WB made Seagal lose weight for this film, not a fan of the wire fu but to me it's Seagal's last hurrah on the theatres for a while. Half Past Dead- mmmm Nia Peeples. Belly of the Beast- LOL WUT Overpowered Seagal Into the Sun- So to cover up a crime scene you basically splooge it with blue sludge? Submerged- Seriously wtf, dubbed Seagal The Foreigner- Oh no this can't be good. *Two hours later* yeah it wasn't Black Dawn- WHY DID YOU MAKE A SEQUEL OF THE FOREIGNER Out of Reach- If I recall Seagal casually beats up Randy Couture twice which is funny.
Pistol Whipped or Attack Force featured Seagal pulling a Cpt. Miller by blowing the shit out of helicopter with his trusty M1911.
Good stuff. Unfortunately since I've seen so many Seagal films, my friends cannot take me seriously when it comes to film recommendations.

Machete and nothing else immediately springs to mind, outside of ironic factors.

But, the ones I actually went to the movies to see, that would be Jean-Claude Van Damme.

What were your opinions about "Half Past Dead"? Personally, I wouldn't mind watching it.
