Hello, I am in the mood to watch some martial arts movies again. They were my hobby a few years ago but then I discovered my love for manga and anime and rediscovered my love for wrestling so that fell off my radar. But I figured that if I am not in the mood for wrestling or Japan, I might as well watch some kick-ass martial arts. ;D No particular preferences (although those situated in medieval China are kinda preferred), so fire away with your suggestions! You can also guide me to sites where lists of the best martial arts films voted by different people are found if you prefer.

Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li, definitely. I'd say, specifically, Who Am I, First Strike, Mr. Nice Guy, Rumble in the Bronx, Legend of Drunken Master, Game of Death, Enter the Dragon, Romeo Must Die, Hero, Black Mask, and the Once Upon a Time in China series. Also, Ong Bak's the Protector, but that's a Thai Boxing movie.

Thanks everyone for your quick answers. My flatrate rental queue is now filled to its max with 20 movies (had to discount a few unfortunately because, although DVDs of martial arts movies in Germany are very large in numbers compared to a few years ago, there are still some missing) and I will watch them. Still, suggestions are still welcome.

OMG! The Ip Man movies! I haven't seen the one without Donnie Yen yet, but the Donnie Yen duology is absolutely incredible. If not just for the action, the faithfulness to the Wing Chun style, or a well shot movie, but the acting is actually really really good!

Also, Ong Bak's the Protector, but that's a Thai Boxing movie. That's the one with Nathan Jones and Elephants right? If so definitely watch that.

Ong Bak and the Protector are two different movies starring Tony Jaa. Just FYI. Protector is the one with the Elephants. Kill Zone. It is another Donnie Yen flick with some of the best acting in a HK flick ever.

Undisputed -2 and 3 Blood and Bone.
Both very awesome fight movies with great displays of martial arts by scott adkins but more so Michael Jai White...hell all of those movies have a pretty wide array of different styles that clash which make them awesome.

"The Street Fighter" and "Return of the Street Fighter"
(The Sonny Chiba films, not the ones based on the video games obviously.)

Protector is the one with the Elephants. Ah it's so confusing, one of them was even called Warrior King over here just to make it more baffling.
