the headphones that came with my ipod lasted from early 2007 to march of this year, 4 years before dying. I purchased a pair of Skull Candy 'agent' headphones and they lasted 2 months. I'm now on my second pair and the jack which was what broke on the previous one seems to be of a better design so hopefully these last.
The sound quality is awesome. so I purchased some 'inked' in ear headphones for the gym, the sound quality on this is shockingly bad, which is really disapointing.
I've yet to make up my mind on whether I appreciate the brand or not, We'll see how this current pair I have survive my travels. I hate buying headphones x

Which are the ones Dr. Dre endorses? Are these them?
I don't need new headphones or anything, I'm just curious.

Although I tried them once at an Apple store in a near-by mall, and the sound is AMAZING. The only downside is the price, which were like 100 bucks or something like that. FANTASTIC headphones, but no thanks.

I've never seen anyone using these. If you want isolating headphones get AKG K271 MKII. I've had ones for five years. If you want small headphones for mp3 player get Koss PortaPro.

My $8 Sony earbuds work just fine lol.

I have to hear every instrument and every piece of vocal crystal clear, but to spend THAT much? I'm want to enjoy the song to it's fullest, not open dimension portals through sound waves. XD

Depends which kind you buy. The cheap in ear ones and the 'classic' headband ones that have joints all over them are pretty good sound quality wise, but their build quality is god awful.
The bigger and more chunky headband style ones give that same quality without the build quality draw back.
interestingly this is not something Monster have realised with their beats series, where they have invested so much time in making these wonderful headphones in terms of their quality, but they die so easily in terms of snapping or wires going or the cushion on them going.

FANTASTIC headphones, but no thanks. Agree on all accounts. Tried them at Best Buy and was BLOWN AWAY by how awesome they sounded. But, as stated, I cant afford to spend that much on headphones. I have a $10 pair of Sony earbuds (with the thing that goes around your ear) that I've had for about 5 years. Sounds not entirely awesome, but it gets the job done.

I loved my skullcandy earbuds. They're easily hideable in my hair for incognito listening on the go. However, i accidentally pulled them apart at the jack port a few days ago. I wonder if they'd replace them...
