I was thinking about something earlier, and I think I might know where WWE's going with the whole subject of the NXT tag title challenge - pop a rating for SmackDown one week.
To explain, I could see Clay winning NXT, and him getting his title match on SmackDown instead of at WrestleMania. Of course, WWE wouldn't do heel vs. heel, and del Rio does have other issues.
So I could see the tag titles being taken from Slabriel in short order. Um, again. This time, though by Edge and Christian, so they could do Edge & Christian reuniting for one big advertising point, and them against Edge's Mania opponent and his rookie for another.

That could work.
When Slater/Gabriel won the titles, I'd assumed it was so there would be a heel team to feud against Bryan/Bateman, but now, it's hard to say what will happen. Del Rio's got more important things to go after than the tag titles, and R-Truth/Curtis have a staggering lack of anything resembling chemistry together.
But getting the titles onto Edge and Christian in order to turn this into a subplot in the WHC feud... that's actually a plausible idea that would feel fairly organic.
Which probably means it won't happen, of course.

Brodus clay is an nxt rookie easily fitting a charismatic powerhouse like Theodore"Bojangles"Dibase JR as his pro and I do not say this lightly.
Sure,theodore has gone but he has left a carbon footprint of knowledge all over his face. Although it's kinda hard to tell cause brodus's face is naturally screwed up. I have watched brodus though,and he's evolved into speaking monosyllabic words. He's gotten a look resembling anger on his face,He's started even positioning a babyeating napkin in the shadow of his neckbeard. He's going to be bad. Real bad. Like michael jackson bad son.
When brodus becomes a world champion as he should,i will crash to my knees opening my arms out,welcoming brodus into his glorious ascent into main event stardom.

I mean I'm usually against bashing a wrestler because of his weight but Brodus...seems to have absolutely nothing but size. He's not Husky Harris. He's not even a Big Daddy V.

maybe a reign thats a bit longer and more believable *cough* than their 1st one would be benefiting them...Corre needs some credibility besides the Big Show beatdowns

Them's good people. Who knows what the plans for the tag belts are. It's not like they're worth much as Monday night showed. If they can be used as a prop to further the WWE title feud then I'm sure they could do the same for the WHC feud as well. |

I remember seeing Slater with the belt on his waist and saying "hehe, he's skinny enough for that to fit around his waist!". Is that belt even gonna cover Brodus's shoulder?
Also, I demand there be plushies make of these two- ufo catcher style. Plush hair strands and everything. Do it, merchandise people.
