For the past 3 or 4 years it's been common attitude that the Wrestlemania that year would be pretty awesome, and it turns out to be at best - alright.
Do you think this year the 'E is finally delivering, what seems to be a blockbuster card with massive names from the past who previously werent able to turn up?
Returns from Booker T, Diesel, HHH, Undertaker, Stone Cold, Rock, HBK, Trish Stratus, Christian etc... All of which varied from one off appearances to proposed WM Matches or injury returns.
Whereas previously theyve just dealt with the current roster which has never really been brilliant?
A Possible Card to prove this...
Edge (C) vs Alberto Del Rio World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena vs The Miz (C) WWE Championship Special Guest Ref; The Rock
HHH vs Undertaker For a 19-0 Streak
Randy Orton vs CM Punk
Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes Mask vs Mask? (Unlikely...?)
Corre vs Nexus (Excluding CM Punk)
Jerry 'The King' Lawler vs Michael Cole Some non-wrestling contest?
Bourne vs Bryan vs Kane vs Christian vs Kofi vs Ziggler vs Swagger vs ? MITB
Sheamus vs Mark Henry? Opening warm up match?
& HOF Including HBK & Hacksaw Jim Duggan (So Far)
To sum up, could this genuinely be the biggest WrestleMania we have seen in years?
Discuss...

That card isn't all that spectacular on paper. I thought last year' had a much "bigger" feeling to it. However, there's 5 matches that could steal the show, at least. I love the focus on 1-on-1 bouts, and hope that Christian isn't added in diluting the Edge/del Rio matchup. The top 4 matches (world title matches, Taker/HHH, Orton/Punk) could deliver huge.

Hate to be that guy....but Taker will be 19-0 if he beats HHH.

Change that to Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan and then you'd be set. They laid plans for it on RAW and there is some 'small' history between them (1-1, Sheamus beat down bryan and got DQed, won the next week.) For the U.S Title, maybe make it a triple threat with Henry, since he seems to be over.
Also, I don't think Bryan needs MITB, to be perfectly honest.

I thought most of the Mania's from past years delivered. 22 and 25 may have underwhelmed me a bit (though 25 had HBK/Taker), but they weren't terrible by any means. 24 and 26 were amazing, in my opinion!

Oh, wait, he's not on there.

Will MITB be there? Because if it isnt, put Bryan vs Sheamus for the US title in a Ladder match there.

yup Bryan vs. Sheamus must happen!
hoping for a Ziggler or JoMo singles match, don't want to see them wasted on the MITB match or another multi-man match

I think the product itself is delivering.
The WM Card does look a little weak at this point, but we're still a month away.
I'm glad they're going with Miz/Cena though. I've predicted that ME since last year. Sans the double-turn, anyway.

Corre won't be feuding with New Nexus.
Perhaps Barrett/Jackson vs. Show/Diesel and Slater/Gabriel vs. Brodus/Ricardo.

That card actually looks incredibly weak on paper.

That card actually looks incredibly weak on paper. That's OK. Throw in pyro, a long ramp, some C-List celebs, commentators in suits, 60+ dollars, and it's THE GRANDEST STAGE OF THEM ALL!

what about Big Show and JoMo?
It's almost like they have too many guys to really effectively use all of them at Mania without having a MitB match with like 10 people in it

I don't necessarily think it's delivering any more than past Wrestlemanias have but it does have potential to be a good show.

Is WWE finally delivering?
I hope so, because I hate having to walk in this weather just to pick up my John Cena Ham Sandwich and Macho Nacho Platter.

It might not be the greatest mania but at least the card looks like it won't stink up the place.

I think Sheamus and Mark Henry would be a dark match IF it happens at all.

I think you can have DB/Sheamus and still have MiTB if they wanna go there. And hell, you still can if you throw Christian into the Edge/Del Rio match (in my opinion I think that match is very "meh" on paper as is, and people have been clamoring for at least SOME acknowledgement of E&C outside of the occasional mid-promo teaser).
As for the quality of it, it looks solid. Not blockbuster, but I don't see a bad match confirmed so far nor one your list there. That would make Mania worth it right there, just having good match after good match. Don't entirely need one five-star hype match (though they might get it with HHH/Taker or Miz/Cena if The Rock gets involved) if each match on the card can deliver.
I thought last year was dynamite personally. The Taker/HBK match could have been half of what it was and the PPV would have still been great. 25 on the other hand, is complete total garbage if not for Taker/HBK. Matches across the board (aside from Taker/HBK) were ho-hum as could be, so predictable you could set your clock to the second on everything that happened, it just sucked. Even MiTB was unremarkable.
24 was excellent though too. Some great matches, HBK/Flair was amazing, Edge/Taker to close it out, and even the Cena/HHH/Orton match was good and had a hell of an ending with Orton winning it against everyone's predictions.
