It's happening, it comes out in April, even though they haven't even started filming or cast people yet, then again, that's pretty much how they did the last two.
I'm curious . . .
1. Am I the only one who actualy really liked 3 and 4?
2. Does everyone agree that 2 is still far and away the worst of the group?
3. Do people understand that Friedberg and Seltzer haven't touched the franchise since the first movie?
4. Aside from the obvious two (Final Destination and Paranormal Activity), what should they mock?

It would be kind of funny, if obvious, if they had a Final Destination death where someone died from an actual game of Mouse Trap.
That said, I don't really remember 4 much, but thought 3 was decent.
2 was good, but was really sunk in some parts by crappy jokes. The parrot stuff was just useless.

Nope . I really liked 2. 3 was very average so I didn't see 4. The original is still my favourite but that's almost always the case.

The original I think benefits from having the best stand-alone plot and jokes. I could walk in and have never seen a horror movie, and most of it would hold up. Obviously, seeing those movies helps it be funnier, but you don't HAVE to have it.

Tim Curry helped 2. 2 would have been disaster if not for that. Oh, and the deleted scene with David Cross. The first was the best, however.
Also, loved Carlin in the 3rd one.

I like 3 and 4 quite a bit actually, it's nice how they pretty much just stick to two movies to parody at a time instead of trying to cram as many parodies of trailers they can in like some other movies.

The Wayans Brothers Era (1 & 2) are on a completely different level than 3 & 4. Those are good in their own right, but nowhere near the level of 1 & 2, IMO. The 1st Scary Movie is the best parody movie ever.

It just depresses me that Leslie Nielsen isn't around for it.

I loved the first two (even if 2 was hit and miss in parts) and thought 3 and 4 were decent. I'm surprised it took this long for 5.
I agree with Final Destination and Paranormal Activity being the two main parodies. I do see them taking potshots at all the remakes, as of late.

The only one I really liked was the 4th.
Though the third one is awesome for directors commentary, and how much they seem to hate what they made.

The 1st Scary Movie is the best parody movie ever. I'd give that to something like Airplane!, but it was definitely very good at capturing the whole essence of '90s slasher flicks.

I liked the first three when they came out but o haven't seen them in years. I'm not sure if I'd like them now.

Ya, the best is Airplane. The first Scary Movie is damn good though. Sucks that those that followed were such halfassed affairs and drag it down.

First two were fun. The last two were terrible and I'm kinda surprised anyone likes them to be honest but hey, there's a fan for everything. That said, Scary Movie 5 really doesn't need to happen but hey, if there's going to be an unnecessary Austin Powers flick then why not an unncessary Scary Movie flick..
