Back before the Internet, when magazines were relevant, I used to love going to the grocery store with my parents just to check out WWF magazine (yeah I was that kid). My parents would never let me buy one because they hated pro-wrestling, but I broke them down one time and they bought me the February 1992 issue. I read that thing front to back more times then I can remember. Sometime around 1997 the magazine was lost when we moved (probably thrown away by my mom). The other day I was on craigslist and I saw a guy selling a copy of it and had to buy it. It was weird when I read it again, it was like I knew every word and picture like it had been burnt into my mind. It was a pretty cool moment, I can only imagine how awesome it would be to find a copy of some Playboy I had in High School. Anyways, stupid story, I know, my point is that the cover with Ric Flair on it was one of the most iconic covers in my opinion. What are some of your favorite magazine covers from PWI, WCW or WWF/E? If only for the randomness that is the only 2 things on the cover.

I used to do the exact same thing. I used go stand at the magazine rack and look through the WWF and Apter mags. My parents did necessarily hate wrestling, but I never would ask to buy one. I remember finally buying the PWI 500 the year Dean Malenko was first. This is one of the covers I liked best of WWF magazine back then, mostly due to being from Memphis:

Well, first they love me, and then they don't. Sometimes they do it, and sometimes they won't.

I don't remember the cover, but the issue with Playboy Buddy Rose's Blow Away Powder was instrumental in a hilarious moment growing up.

Some PWI ones I liked: Uploaded with ImageShack.usI like this one only because the use of "hot, young, studs." My girlfriend found this by my bed and thought it was gay porn. Uploaded with ImageShack.usThis is the last wrestling magazine I ever bought thanks to my parents finally getting the Internet. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Not PWI, but it's a pretty memorable cover to me for some reason...

not even going to try finding them online, but two of my favorite WWF Mag covers were both circa 1986 - one had a painting of Piper bricking up a chimney during Christmas and the other was a really nice glamor headshot of Elizabeth.
Wasn't PWI I don't think, but from the same family of magazines, was the one with Kamala holding a spear with Hogan's head on it. That was traumatizing at that age to see.

all of these are awesome. I always liked these ones too: Whats with the steroid thing, anybody know? I obviously know about the steroids scandal and that but suprising to see the issue adressed in their magazine.

Basically it was a one page text article talking about how they were going to start testing for steroids. Now why exactly DOES butch lick luke's head? And i loved RAW magazine too, and not just for the pics of wrestling chicks barely clothed.

That WWF magazine with Elizabeth on the cover is the source of one of my most embarrassing moments.........my brother caught me having a very personal moment with myself as I stared at Liz' smiling face. Looking back I don't quite know what caught my eye with that cover, I was 16 then so I guess it didnt take much.
