Too bad it was already inducted, but that went on in the final parts of 2009 and into the earlier parts of this year. True, but Deal said that it can be STILL ELIGIBLE for The Gooker. Besides, the Piggie James Storyline was already done as an induction this year (must have been a few weeks after Mickie was fired from WWE).

Let's See what we have so far. I'll note what are the new ones & what are modified. (EDIT: This is NOT MY Opinion. If you want to see my opinion I marked it on here. What I did was gather all the opinions of what people thought COULD be Gooker Nominations on this thread & put it here for everybody to see. So some of these POSSIBLE nominations were based on what was posted here. Think of it as a quick refresher course so you don't have to go through the entire thread. Lay-Cool is represented as a whole because they were a part of "Piggie James" & the Co-Women's/Diva's Title. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming. )The Band: Nash & Hall are back...again! This time Nash needs a walker & Hall needs liver transplant number #109,325,653. Hall gets more liver transplants than Nathan Explosion! Of course this led to The Band winning the TNA World Tag Team Titles & losing said title because Hall goes on a bender which gets him fired. Hulk Hogan Brings in His Friends: The Hulkster thought by bringing his friends radio star "Bubba The Love Sponge" & The Nasty Boys to help out TNA get big ratings. Instead The Nasty Boys stink up the ring while Bubba alienates TNA with his "F*** Haiti" comments that got his ass kicked by Awesome Kong. Hogan's friends get fired by TNA &...Bubba's gets fired from his Sirius radio show John Cena's a part of "The Nexus": Nexus was one of the biggest success stories WWE has in 2010 so they thought...adding Cena to it would make it HUGE! EV2.0: The stable so nice that WWE decided to kill it so TNA decided to bring it back from the dead...again! Once again the end result of market research. Will also include the "Hardcore Justice" PPV. Edge/Kane 2010 feud: A feud that had Edge kidnapping Paul Bearer & hilarity for Kane! Abyss & the WWE Hall Of Fame Rings: So Abyss gets Hulk Hogan's WWE Hall Of Fame ring which turns him into a TNA version of the Green Lantern. Does that make Ric Flair the TNA version of Sinestro? "THEY"/Immortal: So Abyss hypes that "THEY" are coming. And "THEY" is...The nWo version 3.0. Yeah that makes sense! WWE NXT: WWE's version of "The Ultimate Fighter" turns into something comical with Michael Cole using a gong & immunity challenges involving carrying barrels & using wheelbarrows. Heel Michael Cole: If Heel Jim Ross & Heel Tony Schiavone worked... Team Lay-Cool: 2010 started with Michelle McCool a.k.a. "Skeketor" calling Mickie James "fat." Layla then is added by wearing fat suits to impersonate Mickey James. Throw them together & you have "Team Lay-Cool". Now with Layla winning the Women's Title was okay, but "Skeletor" was apparently pissed off when she won the title so we get TWO PEOPLE carrying ONE TITLE! Personally speaking I blame Skeletor for the death of the Women's Title. Also led to the fans calling Lay-Cool "Beautiful People" rip-offs. The "Lockbox Showdown Match": The set-up looked like "Feast or Fired" but it turned into TNA's version of "Deal Or No Deal". Ending we have an Angelina Love/Tara clusterf*** & Daffney's awkward stripping with Lacey Von Erich bouncing around for no reason. TNA's new World Title: Debuted as a title for Jeff Hardy as a Gimmick Belt. The belt drew immediate hate from fans. The belt has many nicknames from "The Don...Don Mason Belt" to "The TNA Diva's Title". I think it's a Power Ranger accessory myself. Jerry Springer on RAW: Creating a fake pregnancy story with The Bellas while scaring Jerry Springer...classic! The 10/14/10 episode of TNA Impact: An hour of basically Immortal & Fourtune saying how great they are. And when there's some actual wrestling happening it's Tara laying down for Madison Rayne! NICE! The "Stand Up For WWE Campaign": Even though the campaign recently received an award for best use of The Social Networks. Everybody from the average fan to the Connecticut Democratic Committee saw it as Vinnie Mac helping out his wife, ex-CEO & U.S. Senate Candidate Linda McMahon, to get her to win the election. Even though the entire country didn't hear the anti-WWE comments during the election. The Swagger Soaring Eagle: Long-lost relative of The Gobbeldygooker? It fits since Guerreros are in both! The Firing of Daniel Bryan: Daniel Bryan gets fired because, according to Bryan himself, WWE takes their PG violence seriously when Bryan gets fired for choking out Justin Roberts out of all things...a tie! JUST ADDED!!!Matt Hardy vs WWE, the YouTube Videos: Matt Hardy wants out of his WWE contract but WWE doesn't want to let him go. So Matt Hardy takes it to YouTube! And how does Matt Hardy fight back? By uploading a video of himself eating grapes. Breakup of The Hart Dynasty: Like with many Tag Teams in WWE a tag-team break up is bound to happen. Unfortunately with The Hart Dynasty...This gets REALLY ugly! Teddy Long teaches Hornswoggle how to speak: If Hornswoggle feuding with Chavo or being Vince McMahon's illegitimate son didn't anger the fans enough. Teddy Long tries to get Hornswoggle how to speak. Lovely! Bi-Sexual Orlando Jordan: Bi-Sexuality is okay, not if there's anything wrong with it. When Orlando Jordan comes on airing an interview show that's really uncomfortable & starts splashing a "white liquid" all over himself. OYE! The 1/4/10 episode of Impact: Homicide can't get out of an iron cage while Jeff Hardy's sings "I'm On A Cage!" RAW Is MACGRUBER!: Granted WWE had a limited roster thanks to the Icelandic Volcano spewing very high levels of molten ash that trapped the RAW crew in Europe. But it didn't stop the cast of the "MacGruber" movie for high COMEDY! Which all leads to R-Truth blown up good, blown up REAL GOOD! "The A-Team" 's mystery: The cast of "The A-Team" movie minus Bradley Cooper & Liam Neeson solved a mystery that a 10-year old kid could solve. The Kidnapping of Samoa Joe: Okay so Samoa Joe gets kidnapped &...nothing happens. Concussion Eric Young: Eric Young gets kicked in the head & now he's Perry Saturn! You're Welcome! The Monday Night Wars II: Hulk Hogan & Dixie Carter made it public via press conference that Impact was moving to Monday Nights to re-start the classic "Monday Night Wars" that WWE & WCW had. Instead the actual "War" was more like a slaughter when WWE was constantly kicking TNA's ass so bad that Impact was moved back to Thursdays a couple of months later. (Personal Pick for Gooker)

There has been alot of really good stuff happen this year, but man there has been a ton of crap too...
I think it's pretty safe to say that most of 2010 was either really good or really bad with very little in between.
But i think the entire 2010 TNA should be inducted. I've been watching wrestling for a very long time and I have NEVER seen so much crap from one company.
I can't really think of a wrestler on their roster that hasn't been booked into a gooker nominee...

I can't really think of a wrestler on their roster that hasn't been booked into a gooker nominee... How about Jay Lethal? Most of the year, he was doing his excellent Flair imitation and was in the feud with Naitch over it. You might argue the whole Shore gimmick and feud over the X Division title, but while the Shore characters are annoying, I don't see them as that bad.

NXT should win this, it was that bad. It got cancelled halfway into its first season by Syfy and the ratings plummeted as WWE showed they didn't care about it. Wheelbarrow challenges, Promos about moustaches and Llamas, costume fights involving Hamburger Helper, and not to mention at this moment from here on now, at this very moment at exactly here on, at exactly here from this moment on, we witnessed the "Genesis," of McGillicutty.

It wasn't the first season, actually, but yes, a lot of the stuff appeared to be quite silly (I didn't watch any of it past probably episode 4 or 5 of season 1) I'd still like to see TNA win its first Gooker; they really put on some crappy stuff this year.

whoa whoa whoa. TNA has had a slew of horrible angles but please leave MY TNA champion, Eric the Young, alone! Also Perry. No one specified WHAT concussion angle would be. The Eric Young "kick to the head one" or the Matt Morgan "let's pimp out the Sports Legacy Institute one". So I went with the obvious stupid one. Yes I do like the Eric Young one myself.

How is Lay-Cool nominated? That's not a bad gimmick or bad execution. That's people being annoyed with them. It doesn't warrant Gooker consideration.

I just took what everybody said & lumped it together. People hated "Piggie James" & Lay-Cool was a part of it. People hated the Co-Women's & Co-Diva's Title & they were a part of it. Adding to it fans mocked Lay-Cool like hell bringing "Lay-Cool = Beautiful People" signs. You may not like it but Layla & Skeletor are Crappy!

The reason Laycool are on there is because how tasteless and awful the Piggie James angle was. It was awful and sent a terrible message to girls who watch WWE how you're nothing but a fat piece of lard if you eat all because creative wanted to send Mickie a message that they didn't approve of her seeking a career outside of wrestling. And the fact that they won in the end and yeah, they are an easy nomination for Gooker. Not to mention The Co women's reign they had as well.

The only realistic options I can think of is NXT (particularly the end of season 2 and the entirety of season 3), and Abyss' Hall of Fame ring angle. Now that Kaval is gone from WWE and there has been literally nothing redeeming Season 2 of NXT, I'd give the Gooker to that one.
The Piggie James angle was fine , and "TNA 2010 LOL" is not as funny as some seem to think.

I also forgot that 10/14/10. I am usually entertained by TNA, but this was one of the rare times that I truly was not. I missed all of the wrestling they had on that episode....oh wait, nevermind.

NXT in general could qualify I think, as opposed to just individual moments from the show.
Although S4 has started pretty well, I will say.
Apart from that...TNA moves to Mondays should be inducted at some point.

And the fact that they won in the end and yeah, they are an easy nomination for Gooker. Not to mention The Co women's reign they had as well. It actually created a sympathetic face that fans rallied behind (in unusual droves for a Diva) because anyone could tell she wasnt fat, and that she was representing "real women" over superficial women like LayCool. It was a feud straight out of every high school in the Western world. And then the face ended up winning in a squash, that, had McCool squashed Mickie in seconds, you would all have claimed Mickie got buried. Nothing LayCool has ever done is even remotely Gooker worthy. You not liking the angle does not make it Gooker worthy. -TNA moving to Mondays - a total failure that made them look like total morons. -NXT Season 2 Finale - That alone couldve been a Botchamania. -Impact 10/14/10 - Krusty the Clown said it best, "What the hell was that?"

Instead the actual "War" was more like a slaughter when WWE was constantly kicking TNA's ass so bad that Impact was moved back to Thursdays a couple of months later. (Personal Pick for Gooker) There is a mixture here of WrestleCrap and stuff that you just dont seem to like. -The Band. A total failure that couldve been seen coming from 3000 miles away. GOOKER. -Hulk and Friends - Nasty Boys = Ratings? No, GOOKER. -Cena in Nexus - This was great up until Survivor Series, and then it was just illogical, but by far not the worst thing WWE has thrown at us. NOPE. -EV2 - It was a cheap ratings pop, and thats it. It wasnt the worst angle TNA did by far, it was just a tired out ratings ploy. NOPE. -Edge/Kane - This was just dumb beyond dumb, but again, I dont think it is on the level of the GobbledyGooker. NOPE. -Abyss of the Rings - Abyss is a Gooker waiting to happen after this year. GOOKER. -THEY - Convoluted, nonsensical, hard to follow, and again, completely nonsensical. Totally lame blowoff as well, the heel turn was terrible. GOOKER. -NXT - Season 1 started great but had its ups and downs, the general problem with it on here was the supposed burial of Daniel Bryan, and he ended up in the best spot of all of them. NOPE. -Heel Cole - Why? He is massively over as a heel, and despite cheerleading for Orton and Cena, he has new life in him as a commentator. NOPE. -LayCool - Why? It isnt like McCool threw up a shoot on Mickie with the weight. It was all an effective angle, that sucked the internet forums back into kayfabe (as proved by your insistence on calling Michelle Skeletor) by getting people to sympathise for Mickie on the basis of the mean girls picking on her. It had its dumb moments, but a happy ending that resulted in the heels getting squashed and humiliated. NOPE. -Lockbox Showdown - Totally Nonsensical Action. Totally buried the KO's title by reducing it to a prize in a box. GOOKER -Immortal Title - I hate custom belts, but it serves its purpose, the premise is that those who run the company are the heels, and lavishly waste the owners money on a belt for their main star. NOPE. -RAW Is Springer - WTF happened here. The whole skit was just inexplicably stupid. GOOKER. -10/14/10 - 45 minutes of opening promo, weeks of explanation pissed away in one swoop. First match is a lay-down match. GOOKER. -Stand up for WWE - Didnt you say this won an award? This was clever and modernised PR on the WWE's part rather than "HEY FANS! DIXIE CARTER HAS TWITTER!" Definite NOPE. -Swagger Soaring Eagle - Why? This worked amazingly as Swaggers mascot, but was immediately dropped without reason. Its nothing compared to the original Gooker. NOPE. -Daniel Bryan - Not really. He was fired with good reason at the time, and then brought back in the main event of Summerslam into a red hot angle that he was part of to begin with. NOPE. -Matt Hardy - The guy put up a video of himself eating grapes. F****** grapes. He truly went off the deep end this eyar, and I wouldnt begrudge him getting a gooker. GOOKER. -Hart Dynasty breakup - Nobody really cared enough about the Dynasty enough for this to be a gooker. The split was badly done, but the WWE's stance on tag teams is pretty clear. NOPE. -Teddy Long and Hornswoggle - Hornswoggle has had a good eyar compared to last, and I dont remember this lasting long. NOPE. -Orlando Jordan - Yeah, this was basically doomed from the start. Putting Vince russo in charge of a bisexual gimmick. Who saw this ending well? GOOKER. -1/4/10 Impact - A promising start for TNA actually. The Jeff Hardy surprise was pulled off well, and theyve done MUCH worse than this. NOPE. -MacGruber - I liked this episode. It was non-canonical, goofy, and a good cover job considering the RAW team getting stuck in Europe. NOPE. -The A-Team - This to me was just another lame shill for a movie. Take it or leave it. NOPE. -Eric Young - Meh, Ive seen Eric go through worse. He seems to recover from it. Plus he is good with the goofy angles. DONT FIRE ERIC is the stuff of legend. NOPE. -Monday Night Wars Part 2 - This for me has to be it. TNA are full of bravado because they draw around 1.0 every Thursday that this translates into challenging RAW, and then they get sent with their tail between their legs. The final warning to them to stop trying to beat the WWE at what the WWE does best. GODDAMN GOOKER. People really dont seem to get what makes a Gooker winner significant. Its not your least favourite angle, but its the most ridiculous, nonsensical, illogical, plain dumb idea of the year. Its based on an egg that was left on the stage for months, under the premise of a surprise being hatched, and it turned out to be a guy in a turkey outfit. Vince McMahon got people excited to see a man in a turkey suit hatch. About half of the stuff you listed is nowhere near Gooker worthy.
