His name was Denny Brown and he wrestled for JCP/NWA, Florida, and later for WCW. I just saw him wrestle for the Jr. Heavyweight Title back in 1984 and so far, the ppv is pretty good. The guy was a pretty good wrestler. According to wikipedia, he was used as enhancement talent, but was he used for enhancement talent by the WWE? Whatever happened to him since then; is he a trainer? Also, I heard that enhancement talent usually posess better in-ring talent than some of the "bigger" names. Is that true? What determines whether one is used by a promotion as enhancement talent or when one becomes a big star and how much does timing play a role? For instance, one guy could be the next Hulk Hogan or John Cena in one promotion or territory, but could be a midcarder in another promotion.

I remember seeing him and Soulman Alex G on a wrestling show over here in the UK that aired at some random times when i was a wee nipper.
He was a good wrestler but I don't think he had enough presence to make it big.

Fact, steve austin was brought in to WWE as enhancement talent and was told he wouldn't go farther than the IC title. Then he was given a mic and........ you know the rest

I remember seeing him on WCW Saturday Night, I believe in early '98. He got pretty fat and was brought in as a jobber obviously. They actually referenced that he was a former NWA junior heavyweight champ and made jokes that he wasn't a junior heavweight anymore.

He was rock solid. Absolutely rock solid, and totally, utterly, incontrovertibly uninteresting.
