I just re-watched a Battle Royale from a SNME that took place in 91. THere was a big shoving match between Hogan and Tugboat and then I think Tugboat eliminated Hogan and there was a confrontation ringside. Not too long after, Tugboat transformed into Typhoon. But I am curious, was the original plan to make him a heel solo star and do a program against the Hulkster?

I have no inside info on this, but I remember when the turn did come it was against the Bushwackers, which seemed a waste. So it's not far-fetched to think something bigger was planned and then scrapped for some reason.

Well they did have a Coliseum Exclusive match on Invasions 1992, and believe it of not Mr. "I don't recall any angels that are 2 weeks old or older" Sean Mooney makes a referance to their past friendship, of course Hogan wins the match easily. I always felt bad The Warlord never got his purposed fall 1991 feud with Hogan, at the time I would've been into that feud

I assume the match was Hogan vs Typhoon. I wonder if there was an original plan to make him some other name or gimmick. He was Big Steel Man/ US Steel so I guess a big scary brawler gimmick wouldnt have been a stretch.
