Say, WWE Films got the rights to make a Duke Nukem movie, had a $35-40 Million budget, a decent script, and cast Cena as Duke. Could that be what would get them out of the dreadful straight to DVD rut they're in, or would it just ruin your love of Duke Nukem forever?

You lost me at John Cena.
He may kinda sorta look the part, but no way in hell could he pull it off.
And that's not a generic IWC "RAWR CENA IS TEH SUXXORZ" post. I just don't think he's a very good fit for Duke Nukem.

Wasn't The Rock rumored to be attached to a Duke Nukem project a few years back?

If you phase out the morally upright aspect of his character and have him play up that smug side he shows to the likes of Vickie, he might work.

A Duke movie HAS to have Jon St. John.
If not, forget it.

Well, Duke ripped off Roddy Piper's lines, it's only fair.

I am laughing my ass off at the idea of Cena saying "I've got balls of steel."

There are some major problems in work here
a) "WWE Films got the rights to make a Duke Nukem movie" -- you have bigger chances to see The Marine 3 starring Michael McGillicutty than that.
b) "had a $35-40 Million budget" -- Yeah, that'll never happen.
c) "a decent script" -- Again, not gonna happen. If WWE creative comes up with anything "decent", it always turns out it was a stroke of luck.
d) "cast Cena as Duke" -- Sadly, their best chance for Duke already moved to TNA and MISTAAAAAAAA ANDERSON!

It would be more Planet Of The Babes than Duke Nukem 3D.

Nope. You can't have a PG Duke Nukem.

I don't know are people willing to wait 12+ years for a movie to come out? Won't it be rather obvious when the lead greatly ages between scenes?!
